Bullshit, multiple rumors are saying that the Steam Deck 2 will launch in mid-2027 with a near 8-inch 1080p LCD screen and will use a custom low-powered AMD APU based on Zen 6 UDNA. Valve doesn't use off-the-shelf parts and they don't see the Z2 Extreme as a generational leap in performance and efficiency.

The switch OLED only costs $349 on sale. Its proof it has nothing do with the hardware or costs for manufacturing, just pure greed. Valve scammed half their customer base by charging the same exact price for better hardware.

Even my chink pixio IPS monitor at 1080p 144hz freesync with 110% SRGB has more saturated colors than the deck OLED because of the default calibration. I prefer using my IPS monitor.
