Who ends up gay in the second game despite all the focus on being an inherently good Christian. There's plenty of other non-Christian actions Henry can make in the first game too anyways. But despite any of the concerns of poz the first game had are cemented with the bait and switch the second game was. The Waldensian's are considered the moral upstanding Christians despite having very little screen time and not showing what else they may get up to. It's like Pandora's box; it permits the non-Christian behavior like homosexuality, like a slippery slope. The argument the game provides is essentially; the real Christians are all corrupt (first game) so "Do what thou wilt" and be gay (second game). With how KCD 1 was supposed to be a single game and not be 2 parts it would make more sense if this disillusionment with Christianity may have been a larger focus with Henry's character and in the actual narrative. Maybe they just left it as a meta-narrative "up to the player" for "gameplay" reasons as to not be too obvious with the slant they were going for.

This game made me sad
not because of any culture war stuff, but because I hoped it would get more people to appreciate in depth RPGs with interesting systems. But a month after its release, the only ones who still care are the same old fans of kcd1 and a few story fags

I have to accept the simple fact most people don’t care about mechanics or systems. That’s why games like Dishonored 2 and Prey failed, and why genres like stealth and immersive sims are basically dead.

Maybe a more accessible game could’ve made a difference
but no one’s working on that.

The npc interactions were pretty amazing. Kill somebody's relative and they're freaking out/investigating and later crying. Other npcs will walk up and actually acknowledge the first npc is crying. Stuff like that is really cool.

Henry is not a custom, create your own character. He's a person with a rather firmly defined personality and trauma and he's related to and on the side of people who hate Sigismund. The Synagogue depicted in KCDII Kuttenberg didn't exist until the 1800s. Unlike Prague (and ironically Rattay where there isn't a single jew seen in KCD1 despite the codex mentioning them), Kuttenberg didn't have a dedicated Jewish quarter as depicted in game. Rather, Jews lived on the outskirts of the city as they were forbidden to live within.

But none of this mattered to Vavra who decided to throw out historical accuracy to shoehorn more jews into the game.
