You know it always bothered me how they throwback to old scifi movies yet in game they barely attempt retaining that style. Like shit, imagine this, and it would totally be to Nintendo's favor since they have a gimped system that can't even render DK's Rareware fur. Just do the surreal shit you've been doing nintendo...but actually stylize it in game like an old sci fi film. Actually make it feel like a cult classic sci fi movie. They try this sort of, even in Adventures you get that "Fox is Captain Kirk now" feel going...but it falls flat because everything is modern and has special effects and shit. I think that's part of the reason why the n64 version of sf64 will always be loved more than the remake, or any repeat they'll attempt in the future. It has those memorable big explosions, the voice acting is corny but memable and the game is practically an interactive movie as it is.
Do it literally puppet style, make the ships cut out or mini models enlarged and greenscreened type shit. You know do the shit you did in yoshi's Island, but with a more serious tone. It may even lower the amount of r34 that comes out of it save for the tileanon tier coomers.
