The fact people only remember Poker Night for the crossovers is why the series died. The first one only got licenses through friendships with comic creators and TellTale's special relationship with Valve. It was just a silly project celebrating one studio's history up until that point. But then the second game went all in on the cameos and lost it's soul.

I like the first game and throw it on just for random games of poker against AI. Poker Night was $5 at release IIRC, so it can't have tons of characters with tons of AI.

Poker Night 2 doesn't allow you to skip dialogue so I never go back to it.
