Few things I don't like about the game is no visual prompt cue for parry or dodge like most rpgs or jrpgs of it's category have. No mini map, and the jump has some sort of input delay. Other than that it's great but if they are gonna make the game revolve around parry and dodge they need a visual prompt cue for it it's a pain in the ass without it

One complaint I had was that Maelle, Lune, and Sciel were pretty silent during the final Act 2 bosses. Like they finally get to the end and none of them start screaming at the Paintress, or demanding to know why she keeps painting numbers. As soon as Verso showed up Lune and Sciel basically became non-characters, and Sciel was already almost there anyway being the 4th you get.

I think the parry system is great and why combat never feels monotonous. It would be boring with an obvious visual cue, learning and improving is what makes any combat system satisfying. Some attacks are harder to counter because you wouldn't be taking any damage otherwise. Minimaps are a crutch for shitty level deign and ruin exploration, E33's levels are simple and naturally lead you to every path and item.

Discovering the fate of painted Clea, discovering that Clea made the nevrons, finding out that Sprong is so strong bc it's Clea's first creation in the painting as a kid. Sealing the fate of painted Alicia. Reviving Noco in the gestral river place. Killing that damn fucking flying Serpent (finally). Doing the endless tower, fighting Simon (and finding out his fate alongside the fact that he's the one that killed the first Axon). Fighting the true Lampmaster in the Painting Workshop, etc etc etc.

The only thing I wish they would've done is force you to do the story segment before being able to roam the open map (idk honestly because I feel like doing the side quests and getting more context to the overall story kinda added to the ending of the game).
