6.6k in Race, haven’t played the others yet. Got the game a week ago and I’ve mostly focused on exploring in Free Roam and learning the tracks/mechanics in TT. 100cc 30% act somewhat better, 150/mirror like 80% do turbo, drifting and shit regardless of what yo do.

8.3k race VR (8700 peak but fell off from bad performance in a very good room) as Rocky Wrench/Reel Racer. Game's fun enough, if not wildly uneven in quality.
Hoping they kind of review the balancing of car stats. Hidden stats being back is tiresome, both on characters & karts. Dividing speeds into road/dirt/water is kind of a red flag when their distribution is so uneven, but the extent they went into with it is stupid. THE BABY BLOOPER HAS THE SAME SPEED AS THE BOWSER BRUISER ON ROADS WITH 5 MORE POINTS OF ACCELERATION (which is also mini turbo). Why?

I just find it strange that someone spends all their time talking about games they don't like.

In general frustration, spending time and effort being angry and negative, talking about things you don't like, but achieving nothing just makes your mood sour and is bad for your mental health.
It's a spiral of negativity.

And again, not saying you aren't allowed to dislike yourself or express negative feelings, but if you actively spend time and effort on being negative you are just hurting yourself. Aside from Mach Rocket and ROB which is pretty much trading a bit of speed for accel/handling, it varies based on weight definitely. Lighter characters can use the W-Twin if you're okay with sacrificing some acceleration for a better speed spread that isn't bad on any track. I will say that heavier character options tend to be lacking. Mach Rocket and ROB are probably the best you get for acceleration focus. Once you get to 8 and 9 accel, you either get absolutely no speed or the speed is in a meme stat like water speed.

The problem isn't that there's a speed to acceleration tradeoff, it's that the skew is too extreme for not much benefit. It would at least make sense if the handling was better, but it's worse on the most common terrain. The rail benefit is mostly irrelevant since you just spam jumps when you can, and most combos can jump spam without worrying about losing the boost between jumps. This isn't comparing something like the Standard Bike to the heavy stuff. This is comparing one acceleration option against another. 2 acceleration is also a very tiny mini-turbo benefit. It's barely noticeable at max charge, the difference may as well not exist for blue sparks.

The sad thing is, I don't know how they'd buff it since the charge jump data is the same one they use for the rail charge. So if you speed up charge jumping's charge, you also buff rail charges too unless you separated them. To be fair, you never rail charge either because just jump spamming is better but it's hard to make orange and rainbow charge jumps better.
