Theres some JP quality of life updates I'm surprised they didn't put into the game straight away. The main ones being the faster skip option that just immediately skips to the end of all events. The option that makes it so even if you have skip on it won't skip unread events and the one where you can see what stats/skills you get when you choose an option.

In terms of support card setups even now on jp most support card setups tend to be 2 speed 1 int and whatever the scenario specific friendship card is like Tazuna. Then the free slots change from stamina or power based on their preferred distance and position, sometimes guts for front runners.At the start a lot of fully limit broken SR cards are better then non limit broken SSR cards too with a few exceptions like super creek.

It's tough in the early days because you need 600 in a stat to get a chance to roll it at 3 star inheritance.
Eventually they will regularly hold a Agnes Tachyon themed event where you can do missions to get 3 tickets each event that allows you to increase any inheritance category of your umas by 1 star.
At the end of each run they also let you do another inheritance reroll for some sp and then you can pick from the two you rolled (3 on some events).

Essentially it sucks now but stops becoming a problem later on.

stamina is somewhat important to meet certain thresholds (idk them)
Power and Speed are crucial
Wits are pretty important

You have to pick your races. G1's give a lot of fans if you can win them and aiming for things like the triple crown/tiara are a good path to getting a lot of fans since those require multiple G1 wins. Some support cards also give fan bonus which increase the amount of fans you get after a race.
In Mayano's case as she has 24 turns to get 5000 fans which is a lot of downtime. You can throw in a few G1 races in there if your training is going well. For example there's a G1 race in your first year you can do for a good amount of fans, also since she has the Kikuka Sho as an objective which is part of the triple crown you can try doing the other two G1 that are a part of it, the Satsuki and Derby. Then just pickk and choose whichever G1s you can think you can tackle before Valentines.
