Anyone calling E33 a 30 hour game followed guides for maps and fights. This game is easily 50 hours assuming you fight at least some super bosses and explore. Even doing just msq would still put it over 40.

Death Stranding isn't meant to be a good game no more than a random arthouse film is meant to be a good film. They're the babies and passion projects of the creators just creating whatever they want. They made them for themselves first before anybody else.

I liked Death Stranding, it was an interesting and unique game with some cool mechanics and gameplay, but it genuinely did not need a sequel nor do I have any desire to play one. The story was complete and I feel that any continuation of it would undermine the profundity of its thoughts. Kojima jumped the shark.

e33 is a walking simulator too.
It takes more time to navigate areas without a map because the devs decided it’s cool not to include one than it does to fight enemies. Which turned 20 hour game into 40 one.
Keep in mind, when Todd did it in starshit people went crazy about it but it's alright when "indie" devs do it.
