The shadow mantle boss was really easy if you get to the final phase and just stay over him spamming X since he doesn't deal damage itself.
The Roaring Knight aside from Black Teeth and the Swords his attacks are actually pretty fucking easy to dodge.

We don't know what happened in between >EQUIPing Noelle and Kris flipping out in the bathroom. We're only told that Susie found the guitar on her own, Asgore caught her with it in the living room and kept her busy talking to her until Carol showed up.
It's possible that Kris still alerted her to come home - I find it unlikely that Kris was in any state to do that, but they still found some time to wipe their phone like they do in the normal route. It's possible that Carol was expecting Kris maintain contact, and when Kris failed to report because of what we did, she took control of the situation. It's also possible that Asgore alerted her when he found Susie in the house, or even that Noelle herself called her after the experience she just had. We don't know, but we can't say nobody called her either. It seems pretty farfetched to argue it was just a coincidence and the person who said "I'll be right over" never showed up (or was a bedridden man who was already there and did nothing to affect the situation).

If the black speech is meant to be an in-story thing and not just the speaker's identity being arbitrarily obscured from us, then Carol is just using a voice changer when she's talking to Kris about their evil plans because she knows that the SOUL could be listening. That wasn't necessary in the Weird Route, where she's speaking in her capacity as Noelle's mother.

I do think Rudy has something going on we don't know about yet. And desu, the smugness of the Knight in Chapter 4 feels way more Rudy than Carol or Dess. Though at the end of the day, I think we aren't supposed to know yet, none of the three answers fits perfectly. Rudy with being stuck in the hospital, Carol's timeline inconsistencies and Dess' severe lack of corporal existence. Unless we take massive leaps, like Rudy's soul cruising around town in a Knight vessel, all we can do is wait

It won't. At best we'll get an ambiguous ending with the whole group together that can be interpreted as platonic friends or more. At worst we'll get a detailed, 20 minute long sequence of Noelle and Susie at the festival together, getting onto a ferris wheel, and vowing to be something more when all things are said and done.

Genuinely, Toby is more focused on the meta-narrative he's doing about control, player input, player choice, and how that impacts characters in the narrative itself. I would bet anything the small moments where you can favor one character or another, who you want to take to the festival, all of that, it just serves to highlight more of that meta-narrative. How the player is pushing Kris towards something they personally want to see without consideration of what Kris wants to be. That, and Toby loves leaving things open to interpretation. What did Kris write on the fogged up window? Was it really Asriel who kept the How to Draw Dragons book overdue? Does Kris actually want to take Susie to the festival since it's the only option they don't resist? Or do they just want to go with them since they're the only real world, genuine friend they have at the moment?

If I can wish for anything, I'd love at least a small scene at the festival that acknowledges who you've been pushing Kris towards. Maybe a quick 3 minute scene where Kris specifically hangs out with Susie/Noelle/Berdly or goes to the Dark World to be with Ralsei. Even if it's platonic, at least some acknowledgment. But I could easily see Toby feeling like that goes against the "themes". Hell, the guy won't sell light world character merch because he's so obsessed with that.

I truly don't think it's gonna happen. Not in any definitive way.

This is why I wrote a bunch of Krusie fics years back because you gotta manifest what you want to see.

Rudy somehow managed to dig into the dark world business, and he handed over his findings to Asgore, Asgore tries to get closer to Carol to find out stuff, and Carol uses him, somehow.
We're probably going to find out a lot more about Asgore in the next chapter, if Gerson is to be believed. All we have to do is WAIT, and make up schizo theories in the meantime.

To play devil's advocate for a moment, the "I'll be right there" is a weird thing in itself. If it's Carol, she arrives way too late to stop Susie from looking at the code. It's only by dumb luck that it wasn't seen. As strange as it is though, if the person Kris called was inside the house, there'd be explanation. They're about to make their move and get the guitar when suddenly, the lights go out - and then Noelle and Susie are snooping around everywhere, along with the Soul, which means getting to the guitar is harder than ever without looking incredibly suspicous. And by the time lights come back on, Susie already has hold of it, meaning demanding it back would be even more suspicious - unless you're Carol-no-fucks-given-Holiday
Not saying you're wrong in that regard, just that Carol being the caller has so many snags to it that it doesn't quite fit in the hole people put it in

You're misremembering. Susie doesn't get the guitar until after the lights went out. Then Kris makes the call, they put us back in and we step into the hallway, we get a short cutscene watching Susie and Noelle play with the guitar that ends with Carol showing up minutes later.
If Carol isn't the person on the phone, you need to explain the incredible coincidence of this being the one day of all days that she comes home from work early just in time to intercept the guitar, and why the person on the phone did not "be right there" when Carol was the only one who showed up and immediately did something about the guitar.
