I blame him. AGDQ 2018 Super Mario Odyssey run. He posted the script for the entire couch commentary on Twitter (deadname for X) before the run. It wasn't just cliff notes or funny things to bring up. The entire commentary was scripted. Someone says one thing, another person reacts to it, etc. He just thought this was normal behavior, that people liked this despite the fact that he's an OG GDQ runner that knows how organic it could be. Once everyone saw they could get away with making GDQ like a wrestling storyline, only way more retarded and gay, they spend a week or more writing these retarded scripts for a 10-120 minute speedrun.
Notice how even the stupid pre-show gameshow was scripted. Old GDQ, that would have been them actually answering the questions instead of "durr I don't know what game 'master of lockpicking' is from"
