>>714769229 (OP)playing modded witcher 3. not really looking forward to any new game off the top of my head. but replaying tw3 has inspired me to finally go back and play the first two games, plus read the first couple books. i'll do that after i finish this playthrough, of which i just have to wrap up blood & wine now
>>714769363pursue a woman and have children. do this before 35. don't play live service or gacha games.

Lots of path of exile over the past 3 weeks. I maybe have one more week of it this league.
Looking forward to Abiotic Factor getting a 1.0 and playing through with the bros.
Having a kid in winter, so mostly just soaking up the freetime.

>>714769229 (OP)repostan from the thread we had a few days ago.
>33>my only hobbies are vidya and cartoons, don't care for much else>got into tech but the market is fucking shit now>I can't get a job because I was never truly good at it, I am mid level at most and have difficulty learning anything, might even be a disability or something like that>made mad money bot now the well is dry so not sure what to do.Got into a post graduate course and I hope I can learn to not be so shit and get a half decent job that lasts more than a year. I am hoping a friend of mine can get me a job next week or I might get a shitty easy job in the public sector and build my way up from there somehow.
While none of that happens I have been playing an outrageous amount of vidya. in the past two months I have
>beaten all ps2 gta games, gta4, 5 and china town wars>beaten disco elisyum, sponge bob cosmic shake, burnout paradise, drive rally and tried a couple other games>also playing third strike on fightcade a few times a day.
Waiting for the Neverwinter Nights 2 remake, hopefully playable on the Steam Deck.
Waiting for the Rimworld expansion, hopefully mods get updated for it fast.
>>714770785>tfw had Blood & Wine since release but never played it because desktop was too potato to run it without the screen freezing
>>714769229 (OP)>What are you playing?Palworld. And having fun too, who woulda thunk.
>Which games are you looking forward to?Digimon Time Stranger. It's looking real nice.
Neverwinter Nights 2 Enhanced Edition. Curious to see what they'll do with it. Even just fixing some technical issues and lifting some engine limits would be awesome. If they also manage to do anything to make the tool set more usable, that would be huge.
I dare not hope for dragon sex, but I yearn for it.
>>714769229 (OP)Right now, I think I almost finished Jedi Knight 2 and just started Fable.
Don't really care about new releases, the only day 1 game I would buy is Silksong. I found some trailers from the summer game fest were interesting though, but don't really remember them.
>>714769363It can get so much worse. Just as I was starting to get my shit together I had to move to bumfuck nowhere at 30 and my life is basically over.
>>714771128you played it since? it is great, sort of like a victory lap/happy ending for geralt. story is weaker than hearts of stone but you play it more for the feels and the satisfaction.
>>714771230>No countryside wenches?
>>714771275No, every time I've tried I get reminded how fucking huge the game is and some form of autism prevents me from simply starting the DLC directly
>>714769229 (OP)35
>What are you playing?this whole calendar year, i've basically been on a retro kick of playing games i never played when younger. as of late, it's been Quake and Blood. still play Battlefield 1 and 5 when i'm drunk, trying to enjoy them while they still have people playing them.
>Which games are you looking forward to?honestly, none. maybe the new fromsoft game on the switch 2? but i don't know if i want to drop all that money just for it.
>>714770654>just disapointed.about what? I'm just baiting anon, instead of seething you could share life wisdom and the best games from your childhood to elighten anons who weren't even born in time to play that shit instead of modern trash
and there are no women in gaming anon
gaming is 99% a male hobby
no matter how many initiatiaves and billions will be wasted by the corporate retards females will never care about video games and will always find them icky
anything else is jewsih divide and conquer tactics, all the zoomer/doomer/boomer/millennial talk is a psyop

Waiting to see how much of a fuck up is neverwinter nights 2 enhanced edition. I just want to replay MOTB.
I'm playing Libreoffice Calc.
>>714769363Oh yeah.
I became less and less of a sperg as I aged, gained some confidence, and even made new friends.
Life is as good as it ever been at 33.
Saints Row 2 with the Juiced patch. A new version was released a few days ago that massively boosted the CPU performance of the game. I'm finally able to play it at 60 FPS with no hiccups for the first time ever. Also, the mod comes with an option to use an alternative lighting/color style that looks way better than the intense bloom and blur of the unmodded game, at no performance cost.
I want to play Borderlands 3 but my wrist hurts.
>>714771686Can't you play it on a gamepad?
>>714771645>Saints Row 2 with the Juiced patch.does it fixes the cutscene bugs as well?

>>714769229 (OP)i pretty much quit. i don't play unfinished games anymore and all the games i like are extremely unfinished. the only game i'm looking forward to is MGS3 remake.
>>714771230Why did you "have to move"?
not playing anything atm. waiting on bananza to come out
>>714771781Yes, also fixes cutscene audio and all sorts of broken graphics and animations that were not present in the console version.

>>714769720Based. I'm closing in on the end of a run myself, just gotta do 6-1 tonight.
I've also started playing Phoenotopia Awakening and I'm absolutely loving it, gorgeous art and level design that assumes the player isn't a moron
I'm playing Pokemon Let's Go Eevee. Make a bit of progress each day. Just got out of Rock Tunnel. The game is actually pretty fun. The only issue is that it's Kanto, so 60% of the moves available to you are normal type moves. Even if some pokemon have some updated learnsets, you're still going to have a lot of overlap with available attack types. Also there's a good number of pokemon that take a while to evolve. Had to man Psyduck at the front until it eventually evolved. Golduck is STILL just okay.
In hindsight, I would have liked to stream my first playthrough of this, but I guess it doesn't matter now. While it's far too late, I wouldn't have minded another game in this style. Would have been better than the D/P remakes.
>>714771717I don't like playing FPS with gamepad.
symphony of war, not without its issues, but i am enjoying it
nothing, very few games interest me these days
>>714769229 (OP)War Thunder

F1 25
cant wait for '83 and Black Orchestra
>>714769229 (OP)Been playing Baldur's Gate 3
I'm about 15 hours in. It's decent so far but I'm not really seeing why everyone lost their minds over it.
I haven't looked forward to any new game in years.
I started Thief II right after finishing the first game, but don't know if I'm feeling it, think I'm really missing the paranormal stuff from the first game as well as the more adventure-like missions. Might play SS2 instead and leave this one for later. Have you guys played The Dark Mod or The Black Parade mission pack? Do any of those resemble the first game more than the second?
>>714772093In Switch or Switch 2?
>>714769229 (OP)>playingThe Bazaar, it scratches that problem solving & competitive itch for me
>looking forward toplaying Factorio: Space Age first time blind playthrough on Deathworld Marathon difficulty while listening to informative podcasts. Haven't done that
Also making a small game using these tools: SDL, OpenGL, CLAY for UI, meson for building/compiling stuff in c/c++ to all platforms without having to deal with cmake
I played:
>No more heroes 1 I like the game so far, just a fun fighting game with weird Japanese depictions of Americana. Not sure if Iโd like the second game as Iโve heard itโs more linear and the third game went full retard with aliens and space battle looking shit
>played portal 2 with some randomI felt really bad because how terrible I was at the mechanics because I havenโt played a portal game since the original. I thought co op would just be the single player campaign with 2 people but supposedly thatโs not the case
>played some gta iv Game honestly still looks great. Wish the image was a bit sharper and controls were more responsive but itโs my current favorite gta. I played it first on ps3 but it runs great in modern hardware
I have to finish the warriors and replay all the halo campaigns in halo mcc one of these days.. I really wish halo had the co op for campaigns like gears of war had where randoms could randomly drop in and play with you. Also need to just emulate some more whacky games
>>714769363Each day here is a gift. If youโre waiting for life to โget betterโ youโre not appreciative of what you already have. Just learn to identify and appreciate the simple things in life like eating a delicious meal or sleeping a good nightโs rest

>>714769229 (OP)Blood Soaked Bastard!, a grody little RPG maker game I picked up for 50 cents on Steam. I picked up other stuff as well, just haven't been feeling it.
33 year old Mexican here
I bought some games from the current eshop sale like Bakeru, FF XII, Chocobo GP and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox and used physical copies of the Splinter Cell games that are delisted on the Xbox store so I can play them via backwards compatibility
Currently playing Avowed and Silent Hill Downpour on Xbox Series X, Persona 4 Golden and Lost Ruins on Switch, and Yakuza: Pirates in Hawaii and Mad Max on PS5.
Looking forward to Silent Hill f and Wuchang Fallen Feathers
>>714769720Based

>>714772445Helldivers 2 is pretty fun, might get it on Xbox to support the game
>>714769363I'm 45. Yes it does.
>>714772157I prefer FPS on Kb/m too but nowadays after working the whole day with a computer, I don't want to go near a keybaord again after work
>>714772445Holdfast and ready or not also coming to Xbox/ps5. Iโm selling my ps5 tomorrow and just going to play on Xbox and pc from now on
>>714769229 (OP)Planetary Annihilation, SupCom and I'm thinking of retrying Cyberpunk now that the new update came out.
>Which games are you looking forward to?Sanctuary: Shattered Sun, Kingmakers and the new owlcat 40k Inquisitor game but that's probably like 5 years away.
Playing some Rogue Trader because I needed a break from painting my SoB army
Don't think I'm gonna finish it before the Rimworld DLC drops, but I'll definitely be done before the next Atelier game.
Playing Northern Journey right now.
I like how cool the environment looks, it really feels like being some Conan type viking slaying evil scum in Scandinavia.
Also playing VTMB, which is really good too. Love playing as a vampire sucking whores dry in dirty alleyways.
I finished BG3 recently and it's been a crazy rollercoster. I missed maximalist RPGs like that go on and on like some odissey.
>>714772356Who are you playing as? My first run was Tav/blankslate and it was meh but I gave the Dark Urge a shot and loved it
>>714769229 (OP)i wanna play drummania but my arm's all fucked
>>714769363desu my life fucking sucked for most of my 20s things actually have gotten better
>>714772634Iโm interested in ready or not. May get that too.
I tried Lands of Lore for a bit. It's interesting but I got tired of the movement.
THE FINALS, Rematch, Force Awakens. Once I finish FA I think I'm going to to finish Death Stranding 1.
>>714772093It's enjoyable, but I don't like how soft the characters are.
>>714769229 (OP)>35>What are you playing?Wageslaving right now. But I've been enjoying TCG Card Shop Simulator more than I thought I would. Also been helping some friends grind for some gear in Wilds. So that's been alright.
>Which games are you looking forward to?MGS3 remake is the only thing that comes to mind.
I am also kinda interested in the new Rimworld DLC. But I gotta to see if it actually adds lots of new stuff and isn't just something I could get from mods first.
sequels to games from when i was young
The new Fable
the splinter cell remake
the new Halo
also Hades 2 and that game from the makers of Ori.
I'm 36 years of age, digging out of a neet/homeless hole that I've been stuck in for the past 15 years. Dad died and gave me his house way out in the boonies
Pretty good jumping off point for unfucking my life while I work minimum wage at a retail joint in town. Currently playing through the Borderlands games, starting with the first one. Just reached level 15. I'm not having a bad time. Game doesn't require much commitment or brain power to enjoy, I really do like some of these guns. The writing and voice acting are bad but nothing that kills the game for me. I have some b-flick scifi movies playing on the second screen. Work this afternoon till midnight, so I'm probably just going to nap for the rest of the morning unfortunately. There isn't much I look forward to nowadays, mostly obscure niche RTS stuff with limited appeal. I really want to play Falling Frontier but I don't think it'll ever come out. My second choice game would probably be Wayward Realms. But again, not sure the devs will ever make it to the finish line.
>>714773195I understand that. I think the artstyle is nice, and the cutesy style looks appealing, but it's not definitely not the same, gritty style as with R/B.
Currently playing the demo. It's fun so far, disappointed it's another faggot dev similar to the factorio dev that will never put it on sale.
>>714772386I also was kinda let down by the technology upgrade by Thief 2. Warehouses and metal plated highrises aren't as fun as the rainy slick cobblestone alleys of the 1st game.
>Have you guys played The Dark Mod or The Black Parade mission pack?Didn't play them yet but only heard good things.
Also don't forget to check out Thief 1 & 2 Fan Missions. That's where you'll find most of the meat and good shit. Check out Thief Guild website for the best stuff.
Here's a pack that contains most of the high rated FMs released until 2022:

>>714773357>Falling Frontier Thanks for the recommendation, that looks right up my alley.
Playing lots of one handed games due to having a newly born. Look Outside / Dungeons of Dredmor / Expedition 33/ BG3 with wife and best mate. All comfy games for one handed play.
Looking forward to the new Virtua Fighter. I hope it isnt as gorilla focused as tekken 8 / SF 6 / Strive because I hate all these neutral skip mechanics and miss proper defensive play.
And my physical cart of WakuWaku 7 I managed to snag from china is coming in next week which will be an epileptic feast for the eyes.
>>714773394will check those out, thanks anon!
>>714773391>disappointed it's another faggot dev similar to the factorio dev that will never put it on sale. You know for a fact now that it will never be on sale. You have a dollar amount you can target. Just save up over however many months makes the amount saved manageable to you. You don't need discounts to tell you what to buy like a female
>>714773686No problem, have fun!
>>714773357Good on you for powering through and improving. Hope you'll carve yourself a nice little haven of peace.
>>714773357I turn 31 this month, been NEET since I was 19, but I guess at this point they just call it unemployed. I'm going to be in your shoes extremely soon, within 2 years and that's being generous. Pretty scary because who is going to hire a retard like me.
Anyways, have you tried Mechabellum, sort of RTS but it's turn based.
>>714773626Might want to check out Nebulous Fleet Command while you wait. Not really much in the way of resource management but the combat in Falling Frontier is likely going to be somewhat similar.
>>714769229 (OP)Been drifting from Half Life 1 mods and Doom wads for the past so often. Also been trying to reassemble some friends slowly and reconnecting with them, we've been playing some Space Marine 2.
Things have been looking up, if ever so slightly.
>>714773357Why would you ever want to stop being a neet?
>>714774037>Half Life 1 modsshame most of the multiplayer mods are dead, would love to go back to natural selection or the specialists
>>714773872Thanks man
>>714773893I get that, I never really considered myself neet because I was never in a position where I stopped learning or trying to better myself. Reguardless, don't worry about the job, you'll find one. The low or no skills jobs out there will take just about anyone.
>MechabellumI've heard of it. Looks similar to Beyond All Reason. I'll give it a try on my next day off.

>>714774418>natural selection>the specialistsDon't remind me, it hurts to remember how many mods and the sheer number of unique ideas between HL1 and HL2. Nothing in modern gaming really quite captures that magic for me, especially for something like NS1.

Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, Ninja Gaiden 4 and the new Shinobi
As an old nigga with a job and no time for competitive games, is a gaming PC still worth it? I already have a switch 2 for party games and I'm torn between a PC and PS5.

Shameful how I'm a boomer yet I'm not an absolutely simp like most of you losers. I guess that maturity really doesn't come with age. No hope in making friends at my age this way.
>>714775428nah bro it's not worth it unless you like being on the ELO treadmill. basically, what I'm saying is, the competitive games of today are engineered to keep you playing them for as long as possible, so you can only maintain a high rank if you play regularly, and some of these motherfuckers are trying to make it their job. you won't have fun unless you're already good and you're playing against other good people, with good people on your team, so nah.
it might be a different story for classic games where you can pop in and out at your leisure and not worry about that shit. and PC gaming is worth it just for the single player experience. fuck consoles.
>>714775850You better be rich if youโre a boomer or your IQ is really low. You had an opportunity to thrive in the best economy and if you werenโt able to produce a large amount of wealth youโre retarded
>>714774736Not quite. I actually love my parents and dislike su. I just fap to the characters
Plenty of old and great competitive games. Melee, Broodwar hell even SC2, CS, Chess. I'd say all of those are better than current day garbage, but I still enjoy new stuff, I play R6 often.
>>71476936324-28 I felt lost and unwelcome at the adult table. I had no idea what I wanted and was waiting for the "feel like an adult" moment to happen.
Now I'm 32, and realize that feeling isn't a real thing. But I feel way more confident in myself. The downside is I'm always busy. Always stressed about work. Always worried I'm going to lose something important. I miss my carefree attitude of my 20s, but I would never trade it for the maturity and motivation I have now. If anything I would choose to have lived my 20s this way, warts and all.
>>714769229 (OP)>What are you playing?Turned 31 last month and celebrated by going on holiday to the USA last month and doing a roadtrip, ended up going from Tennessee to Utah and back. Very beautiful country! Whilst over there I saw Mad Max was on sale on GOG so I bought it having enjoyed my playthrough of it on Steam in 2015. Really enjoying it so far, a little bit repetitive but drivan' and graphics surprisingly are really good. I also think Chumbucket is hilarious and based from the off this time, first time I played I wasn't a fan of him at first.
>Which games are you looking forward to?Looking forward to DQ1+2 remakes, Sonic Racing so I can play Ichiban, Rim World Odyssey, Death Stranding 2 PC port, Code Vein 2, and D.O.R.F. (never ever, been waiting on this game since at least 2023 and dev's announced it's still at minimum a year off I think)
>>714769229 (OP)I pulled my old PC from a closet today. I'm going to see if I can get it running. GTX400 sticker on the side but a 970 inside. we're gaming boys
>>714777158After I finish Mad Max I have no idea which of my new steam games to play, any ideas fellow boomers? Got Stellar Blade due to the coom, X4 and Elite Dangerous due to a friend shilling them to me, Fable due to Sseth's video and I've never played it before + heard good things, and I wani hug that gator to support the 4chan anon dev who made it and it looked decent
>>714769363stop now or you will end up killing yourself for real.
>>714769363no. It only gets worse. Especially your body. Prepare to enjoy your back pain
>>714769229 (OP)Nothing on the horizon for me right now. Bought Schedule 1 because it seemed fun, but so far it feels like busy work. Maybe it'll get better. If not I'll still have Monster Hunter World to finish.
Also,
MY FUCKING HIP HURTS.
>>714771805I feel like I'm slowly getting there too honestly.
>>714777479I'm playing Mad Max too
Did you enjoy it?
I've lost all motivation to work, just want to get fired and live off unemployment for a while.
>>714777667I had finished it way back in 2015, I found it underrated back then since no-one outside of /v/ seemed to talk about it and whilst it's a repetitive standard bamham combat and ubi open world it does have a certain charm to it and beautiful so I really enjoyed playing it back then and I'm really enjoying it again now upon replaying it
>>714773391Nooooooo the dev isn't a cuck faggot that thinks his work is worthless!!!!! I'm a gay communist that wants everything for free because video games are worthless even though all I do is play and talk about video games!!!!

>>714769229 (OP)You know when you consume so much porn that you have to go weirder and weirder to feel something anymore?

>>714775765Maybe your Xbox fanboyism turned people off. Sorry, anon.
i tried planescape torment but there was too much reading. i want to play a game not read a book.
>>714775428I don't think so. I built a decent PC in 2019 and I have no reason to upgrade. There's no new game that requires better hardware.
Recommend me some good old online shooter action with a healthy, not so sweaty player base. I miss the old cs1.6 and CoD1/2 times..
>>714769229 (OP)right now, grinding out cash in poe1, still got a few pieces to upgrade before i deem my build complete and go for 40/40, in the evening i'm gonna play PEAK with friends
as for the games i'm looking forwars to? uh, nothing really comes to mind from the upcoming releases, i guess the NWN 2 remaster looks okay? i tried playing the OG like a year ago and it crashed like a motherfucker and i've had a lot trouble getting it to run on a modern system, hopefully the remaster works right out of the box, i could go for some 3.5

I can't put down Morrowind. Help.
>>714769229 (OP)about to start AC Valhalla, I know its nothing special but from time to time I just want to ride around in some nice open world, do a quest or two, and Ive already played most better games of this type. wanted to replay witcher 3 but I went almost 100% last time so not much else to find there. plus, I kinda liked Odyssey, so...
>>714777727lol same. Plus I have about 50k in 401k that I could withdrawal but Iโd lose about 40% due to fees and taxes
Is playing old PC games on a thinkpad comfy? I have a T480.
>>714781508>I can't put down Morrowind. Help. What kind of help do you need? The only advice I have is to figure out when you'll be happy that you've seen everything. Like, maybe do every quest in the game and then you can put it down.
>>714777727>I've lost all motivation to workI never found motivation to work. I'm the kind of person who will only work to stave off homelessness.

>>714773893>Pretty scary because who is going to hire a retard like me.that is a completely normal and reasonable fear to have. The psychiatric therapist I was seeing said she has this type of conversation with patients typically at least 2-3 times a week
It's a very common experience, and yeah job hunting is stressful or even daunting, HOWEVER:
For an minimum wage type job that doesn't matter at all, they're used to having a rotation of hiring new employees to replace old employees leaving. As long as you seem like a decent well-groomed person who is interested in the job, then you have a good chance of being employed...doesn't matter about age or not having a job before.
You'll grow from going through that type of discomfort
>>714769363yeah you just have to actually put in a small amount of effort in life ez.
>>714781839Yeah that's exactly the type of stuff I'm talking about, or even the Might and Magic games.
>>714771461>Battlefield 1My nigga. I've just been on the custom server that gives more xp, removes the killcam and double damage. Its great for the scout role. Finally I get the one shot kills that should of been in the original. Regular servers are good too. I never could get into battlefield 5 the guns just felt really slow for some reason and that's as someone who mainly plays bolt action rifles. I would recommend rising storm Vietnam but I have no idea if it's still active and honestly the maps don't hold up too well anymore.
>>714771686Borderlands 3 is a good game but it suffers from shitty map waypoints and navigation in some parts so I never finished it and just did some of the DLC.
>>714773357A shitty house is still more then most people have anon. Just keep your wagie job and if you can get a woman that's it you basically easy moded into a decent life.
>>714781258I think it's because it goes on 95% off a lot and the fun unlock system looks a bit like call of duty until you actually play it that is.
>>714781786I mean I was being kind of facetious. If anything I'm scared the burn out will be sudden and immense once I finally find another game to transition to. On my second run right now, don't know if I have a third in me even though I'm having fun just roaming around doing odd quests. Hoping I get everything I want out of it before I slam into the wall. Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Tamriel are fucking gigantic and I wanna take it all in.
>>714769363yes, it does. but only as long as you put effort. if you won't do shit, it will only get worse.
>>714781864This. Blue wage shit especially part time is easy to get. Just show up on time, and don't look like a drug addict and they will just give you the job. Then just nod and do whatever they ask and find a spot to take unofficial breaks because for most jobs you never have to working the whole time.

None
Fellas, I think I no longer enjoy vidya.
I keep installing a fuckton of games, play for like 5 minutes, and uninstalling them.
Not only games that I previously owned or that I had pending to play from my backlog, but newly bought ones too.
I think its fucking over.
>>714791943I can only replay stuff I know like the back of my hand that's pretty much launch and play with little to no plot, cutscenes or anything that isn't gameplay.
I simply don't care about any of that and I already got enough shit in my life to on top of that get into an RPG that requires me to do a PHD tier research in order to play it.
Pretty sure I'll stop playing altogether soon except for local multiplayer once or twice a year.
Now I mostly read.
>>714791943You might be feeling burnout. Don't force it, do something else you enjoy for awhile. You might feel the urge to play again, but forcing it right now will only make it worse.
Dark and Darker killed itself so now I'm getting back into Hunt Showdown while waiting for the Tarkov wipe
anyone else no longer interested in current releases and if so, what was the turning point for you? For me it was Dragon's Dogma 2. I barely had any interest in modern games by then but the disappointment I had with DD2 cemented the feeling. KCD2 was very good but I don't expect many modern games reaching those highs again any time soon.
>>714792309>Now I mostly read.Any recommendations?
I started reading the Elric of Melnibone books but I think I stopped after the 3rd
>>714792487>Elric of MelniboneI know next to nothing about fantasy besides LOTR and the book of the new sun, which I didn't particularly enjoy.
If I had to blindly recommend something I'd say try something from Hemingway. Simple, direct and unadorned prose that's really easy to read and enjoy.
>>714791943I'm getting into gamedev and started watching old animes I never watched before.
>>714769229 (OP)I can't escape this rut of being unable to get into or enjoy different games. I just play the same old shit I've kept playing for 10-20 years, or played decades ago.
Any time I try something new (new to me that is) I don't have fun and hate it. I don't want to learn new things.
I've reached such degenerate heights with this that I'm currently replaying shitty old flash games.
>>714792952>something from HemingwayIll give it a try, thanks anon
>>714792998>old animesAny reccs?
I think I watched the most well known ones but just in case Im missing any gem.
>>714792476The last new game I enjoyed was BG3. I really like the original Dragon's Dogma, but was not interested in the sequel when I learned it was a remake with worse graphics.
>>714793045Also I'd forgotten the game ends literally 5 seconds after I took that screenshot, shit
>>71476922>35 dad/breadwinnerI do 1-3 hunts on monster hunter wilds a day, then either watch something in bed with wife (YouTube slop, movies, anime) or we play something together. Very little free time as we are almost finished renovating bathroom and my kid is teething hardcore and is 200% more cranky and sleepless. Donโt have anything specific Iโm looking forward to, donโt know whatโs on the horizon for big releases. Anything good coming out?
>arrived home at 1130PM

>the venue is 2 hours drive from home
I hate boomers
I hate my life
>>714793243>Any reccs?I recently went through Yu Yu Hakusho and had a very good time. It has a lot of tropes and it's very juvenile sometimes, but it's quite charming. Not many animes manage to make people cry on the first episode.
The last arc kinda sucks, it's very rushed, but still worth a watch specially considering it's 110 episodes in total.
>>714793414>BG3is the writing as woke as some people seem to claim? I'm interested in playing it, but I fear that if the writing isn't as good as in BG2 the comparisons will make me lose interest.
>Dragon's DogmaOne of my favorites! DD2 ain't that bad, but it falls short on some stuff. If you see it as an open world beat'em'up with very good combat, you'll have some fun. Also worth to check out some mods specially to make the overworld more interesting and increasing the difficulty.
Also man, check out DDON. It's super fun even when playing solo.
>>714793982>is the writing as woke as some people seem to claim?I wouldn't say the dialogue is woke, but there is a disproportionate amount of gay characters. Ignore them and the game is fine.
>>714793626>dad gamer.I really have to set stuff up on my deck so I won't have to deal with it later when I won't have time.
I have dolphin running flawlessly.
A little gba stuff set up.
Some steam stuff like katamari damacy.
Maybe mh3u would be a good pick. Been a hot minute since I played tri.
Idk if jrpgs like chrono trigger would be good for that busy lifestyle.

>>714794643I just wish rogue squadron 2 wasnโt shit on dolphin, finished Skies of Arcadia Legends 100% a couple months back. At least our upstairs will be completely done so I can focus on landscaping and prepping downstairs
>>714794748what's your secret to stay motivated?

>What are you playing?
been playing star wars outlaws which I got on sale and tinkering with my steam deck.
Which games are you looking forward to?
thps 3+4, ninja gaiden ragebound and mina the hollower
on a side note, I have lived long enough to have witnessed atari, sega and now xbox wither away in the console space, what a wild ride
>>714769229 (OP)39, StarCraft 2.
Looking forward to:
SMT III
the remake is good actually. Updated graphics sure but the voice acting is the real bonus. The sounds are so beautiful, SMT I music updated in 4K. Hearing Chiaki get beat and UNGHing was so visceral. This SMT was the last to play like the old SNES game, wonderful random drops like mystical chests. No random weapon drops like Ifโฆ but Iโll forgive it. Got my ass beat and grinding an electric-resistant team next
>>714795715downloading the demo to static dread now
>>714795345I really didn't like rogue squadron 2. Maybe it was because I wasn't very good at it. Idk if I still have my copy or if I traded it in back from the used place I got it.
My only gamecube game that I don't have in storage is melee. Otherwise I just play off a modded wii.

>>714769363Yes!! It get's better! Mainichi mainichi! kokoro wa sekai desu!!!
>>714795585Tbh I have been struggling with motivation for the past few years. Up until recently I used to have a 9-to-5 on-site job and things were grim, I couldn't do anything after work other than mindless scrolling 4chan. Now I have TWO jobs (lol), but both are remote and my life improved tenfold. I'm not as mentally exhausted and am finally able to enjoy games again.
What also helps is that I usually play games where I can shut my brain off and grind for hours while in conference calls at work (I'm a remotefag) or while I listen to some podcast and then come back to steamroll the main content. I'm currently doing this with both GoT and KCD.
I also bought a Steam Deck to be my JRPG/Emulation machine while in bed with muh missus, and it's great. Best piece of hardware ever.

Been playing IV2. Probably one of the best stealth games I've played in ages, mainly because the incentive for stealth just feels more natural. Shit just becomes incredibly hard if you go loud or leave a mess (AI is relentless once they spot a corpse or see you. They won't go back to their regular patrol routes, they'll continuously comb through the map looking for you, and they'll be sure to buddy up or search in groups whenever possible) rather than just slapping you with a bad rank, smaller reward, or bad ending if you get spotted/kill enemies.
>looking forward to
Brigador Killers, just finished the second audiobook as well. Didn't like it as much as the first one but I still thought it was pretty good. The ending felt like a bit of a middle finger but I guess that's kind of to be expected of an audiobook based on an unfinished game that serves more to give an introduction to the second game's premise

Replaying prostreet, this time at 240fps and 4k rather than 720p (likely less) and 30fps like I did on my ps3. Even just using the generic fix the handling is much more responsive due to framerate and it is easier to see things coming at you in the speed challenges so that quirk of game difficulty is smoothed out considerably.
>>714798506>Sorry but it sounds like shitIt's just a fishing game man, idk what to tell you. And the pixel art is most of the point, its gorgeous. Maybe the old man tendencies havent kicked off in you yet, how do you feel about grilling?
>>714772567Wow this thread still lives. Ok I'm that anon. People respect you more and are more patient with you the older you get. They LISTEN. This happens with family, friends, and coworkers. When: when you realize that everyone else is also winging it. For all their vaunted confidence, the people who hustle and have "made it" are just trying to not die like the rest of us. If you want a specific time: when I hit 40. Something happens at that age. You stop giving a shit about so much and stop being a drama queen about everything. I'm making more money than I ever have before, have more autonomy than ever. I speak only when necessary, and try to be positive, but generally remain neutral. And people accept that. I don't know if it's that age brings quiet confidence, but it's just easier. Dating is weird, it's both easier (women wanna settle down) but also harder because they bring kids. But... You stop giving a shit about that too and they kinda just gravitate towards you because of that. One unfortunate reality is that you've gotta be at least little bit attractive. Fat is fine, but have a nice face. Ugly face is fine, but work on having a decent body. Can't have either? Then work on your rizz as the kids say. Best bet: just be a wizard.
>But the anons make fun of me!They're all virgins too, don't pay them mind. Hell truly is other people. Learn to pay them no mind as you get older. And you'll find your life get easier. Also, stop fighting so hard. People are gonna do whatever they want. Let them.

The only problem is that Iโm 32 and my 38 year old sister and my mom told me to look for a woman my age (the one i'm seeing right now) to settle down because younger girls are immature. What do? Also how the fuck do you ask out a cashier?
>>714799361>Yeah she is hot and all but /fit/ says that anything over 25 is a death sentence for a manthe fuck is this supposed to mean
>>714769229 (OP)I think about gaming. I long for vidya. But day by day passes and I get 0 game time.
>t. Millennial father of 4 kids under 8
>>714799740can you make your story a bit more unbelievable please? Doesn't feel right
>>714799361Be your own man.
Playing Dune Awakening with an older buddy. What a dad game. Great fun, but you gotta have people to play with.
Also playing Nightreign when my younger friends get on.
I just started Rogue Trader but everyone tells me the heretic route is dumb because everyone turns a blind eye to your obviously evil acts.
>>714797814Hit those lights more, nigger. Even when you've gone loud and alerted basically every enemy on the level, the dark is your friend. Sometimes a dark room and the few precious seconds it buys you is all you need to take out an entire group of dudes looking for you and the spook a bunch more into just unloading their guns on absolutely nothing in a blind panic
>>714799740My mom told me to go for younger because she recently became friends with a bunch of millenial women and realised they're all garbage.
got sick of story shit. i want only gameplay now. no cut scenes or long dialogues or intros. elden ring was nice.
>>714799740Im 27 and been dating this 18 yo for almost a year, might marry her. Youre a retard
>>714799930Based I will.
>>714800265>Im 27 and been dating this 18 yo for almost a yearYeah you are 27 you are pretty young and a zoomer like her, i'm almost 33.
>>714800174Your mom is based
>>714799480If you REALLY want the arcade vibe go to the classics. While i'm personally of the belief racism got into gear (heh) with the move to 3d so something truly arcade like ridge racer 1 might be the way to do it. RR1 is short, mechanically simple and isn't that hard even using automatic gearbox and dpad inputs (manual and negcon are much better though, but not needed).
Only real downside is basically nothing else plays like the ridge racer series.
>>714800459retarded millenial holy fucking shit, the jews did a number on brainwashing you with this self inflicted generational segregation. When Im 32 shes gonna be 23. Meanwhile you are dating a 30 year old LMAO. Deserved
>>714769229 (OP)I dont know what to play at the moment, I started dune awakening but I got bored of the grind before I even got the thopter
I dont know what to play, give me reccs
>>714800143Well shit, there goes my afternoon.
>mfw TGD>>714800174Unbelievably based holy shit
>>714769229 (OP)>playingfzero99, project wingman. About to try metroid prime remastered and luigis mansion 2
>looking forward 2donkey kong bananza
robocop rc unfinished business
kirby forgotten land (never had a switch 1)
mgs delta
if tony hawk pro 3+4 does have a sponge bob stage then I'll get that
>>714800645Yea I'm going all in on retro gaming. Got a controller thing for my phone, a little Gameboy sp clone, gonna put emulators on my Shield TV, then will probably buy the retropocket 6 when it comes out.
>>714800645Riiiiiidge raaaaacer!
I legitimately know nothing of that series outside of the meme. Looks good.
https://youtu.be/eaBUeINW_3s?si=mZELgu9ERVgC_m4v
>>714800767Should I drop her and go for the 18?
>>714799361Do your own thing. My only advice to you as a 40 year old man is to take care of your health. Thatโs literally the only thing you own in life.
>>714801510Ridge racer was a major reason the psx got off the ground. It is hard to articulate these days how much namco's early support - primarily lead by ridge racer - legitimised the playstation as a platform in the early days.
Webm is from the 60fps bonus disc that came with ridge racer 4.
>>714801652Did you get married? How is life at 40?
Playan kekslop in between wagie shifts
>>714800143Just to give you some piece of mind anon, I did get better, pic related. That was one of the first missions I played and I clipped it because of how the goons swarm like ants and I just completely spill spaghetti.
>hit myself with my own grenade shrapnel>take a piece of 00 on my way out of the window>moving at a snails pace because Im not paying attention to my speed>shot in the back covering a dead angle>5 second pause to reload and watch the noose tigten>shit pants>try to crawl under car>dieIt's an embarrassing display on my part I admit, but I think it's more interesting that way honestly, I learn more from watching myself fuck up than be high speed low drag.
>>714802281>piece of mind
>>714801524Make sure she's actually into you first lol otherwise you're going without pussy.
>>714801970Never did. Life is pretty comfy at 40. I just wish I didnโt have diabetes lol.
>>714802551Shut up lol I'm off today I've been day drinking
>>714801970Life at 40 is fine but I have young kids draining my time, energy, money, and health. I'm pretty fat but fit to do whatever. Don't want sex as much as when I was leaner and younger. Like once a day would be good, which I don't get. When I was younger I literally had sex 6x a day with my various girlfriends.
>>714799361Look, only take tech advice, steal meme pics and wallpapers, and maybe get anime/book/movie recommendations here. Everything else you ignore from 4 chins and do what makes you happy. Fuck everyone else.
>half the anons want to doompost and the other half just want to game for gods sake!
These threads are a hoot
playing Rebirth, fuck the piano and fuck the card minigame
>>714802904>having kidsi'm sorry
do you regret it ? 38 but i want to get a vasectomy
>>714769229 (OP)Ys X, Fantasy Life and King of Fighters XIV.
Picked up Harvester on sale. Having a ball, though I can't seem to get the broom closet open despite having the key. Keeps saying "the pricecipal waves you away" or something, but he's not even there.
>>714769229 (OP)37, WOW classic MoP & Anno 1800
>>714803410Nta but don't get a vasectomy unless you're cool with being sterilized.
>>714803367Just report all the offtopic blogshit.
nobody's ever asked me how I'm doing
>>714803751>>714803821You doing okay, anons?
>>714803534Wow at 37 is some crazy shit
>>714803859having a weird day
>>714803879yeah. I think I'm just unlikeable.
>>714801749That's pretty cool anon.
I grew up with very limited experience with the ps1, so there's probably a lot in there I could visit. Won't even have to deal with the load times.
How the fuck can you be 30+ and not have a career, wife & children yet?
That's like fundamentally failing at life
What did you even spend your 20s doing???
>>714769229 (OP)Prime 1. It just works.
>>714770852Can confirm.
Kids and family make you happy and fullfilled.
Vidya is still fun tho
>>714769229 (OP)>What are you playing?dragon quest iv on my retroid pocket, great timekiller on the commute
>Which games are you looking forward to?dk bananza and the next Anno game
>>714769229 (OP)Been playing some IL-2 on mouse and keyboard.
>>714804920Eh
Im married with 2 kids and a house to my name and Im miserable beyond belief.
>>714805628Do they make you miserable or is that just an accompanying fact?
>>714803534Youngest WoW Classic player
>>714769229 (OP)Just finished RotR and Wo Long. Won't bother with endgame I guess because Nioh 2 is infinitely superior. Playing Ninja Gaiden 2 black remake because Im on a Team Ninja marathon.
>>714805628The problem lies within you then. Go to a psychiatrist and take SSRI.
>>714803410Not at all. It would be pathetic to be childless over 40 although with my career people might think it's cool to be a 40 something dude with a 6 figure salary and a bunch of money or whatever but guess what - everyone dies, even Paul Allen died.
>>714806247>Youngest WoW Classic playerUnironically. I'm about to try Epoch and/or turtle and I'm over 40.
>>714804776Being depressed and fucking up the one chance I had with a girl who was genuinely incredible, a once in a lifetime kind of girl. I tossed in the towel after that fumble.
>>714804776You don't need any of those things to be happy.
>>714777158That's so weird, man. I've also been playing some Mad Max and it's such a nice game. It does get a little same-y, but what it does it does well. The quiet moments are the best with the dust blowing and wind howling.
On another note, I'm looking forward to Project Epoch the WoW private server, and hoping they'll keep it a bit on the down-low so Blizz doesn't delete it.
>>714769229 (OP)Supreme Commander Forged Alliance and Wild Assault, also deltarune
>>714800774Im playing action games now and it's so satisfying I have trouble putting my gameplay down. I rediscovered Nioh 2 last year and ignited me to play more games from Tean Ninja. The combat in their game is the most satisfying I've ever had and it's been a very long time I haven't found games that pulled me in like these. It's also the first time Im genuinely excited for a new game with Nioh 3.
>>714806924>>714806705You cannot be happy if you donโt have a wife to start a family
I'm playing World of Warcraft (70%), Star Trek Online (5%) and random free games (Warframe, Genshin Impact, Path of Exile).
>>714807072That's what you think but anyone can be happy as long as one has financial stability.
>>714804776I've done every bit of normie advice in the book and have been shot down by every single woman I have ever approached. I'm ugly enough that people unironically scream at me on first contact about how I'm obviously not a sex haver. I'm been hanging around on /soc/ and getting VC with women and it's upsetting how much more talkative and capable of conversation they are when they don't see my face.
As for career, I live in Canada. All the jobs go to the jeets and it's at the point the sub 35 unemployment rate is at 20% (you don't count as unemployed if you stop actively looking BTW) so I have to count myself lucky with my dead end job that took forever to get.
>>714803627i see myself too old to have kids
Nightreign, its actually fun and addictive, elden ring gameplay improved and distilled into its more pure form, i hope they add more maps, nightfarers and bosses soon
>>714804776I have a career. Single, no kids. Because I like money and I get to buy stupid shit.
>But anon you're failing at lifeAccording to whom? Again: I have a career, money, happy, not dependent on anyone. Where's the failure? I'm not "spreading my genes?" The fuck you think you are, some lord of some vassal state that you feel a need to assert your family name else neighboring factions will take over? It's 2025 and you're on 4chan. Do whatever YOU want, not what some YouTube video says you should be doing. And, certainly, don't take ANY advice from anons. Including me.
>>714807326what a pitiful way to live life
>>714807189Well rock on man. I just wanted you to know what you're getting into. There are many out there still under the impression that it's an easily reversible procedure with no consequences.
>>714804776>every girl is a cheating piece of shit>wanting kids>20s doingjumping from jobs to jobs
>>714807072I don't believe that, but I do think it can help. I'm also autistic and I don't want to risk offspring also having it, since it's more likely to spread via fathers. That helps me feel a bit better about it.
>>714807449I'm sorry you need to cope being poor because of your shitty decisions. I treat my married/parental friends to dinner. Maybe some day I'll treat you.
>>714807175Does it make you feel better or worse knowing that there are good looking people out there, even with a nice personality, that don't have sex or find a partner for one reason or another?
Also, have you considered moving to another country?
Memes aside, most third world country have some really good cities.
Maybe not India though.
>>714807492i've read its reversible but its not like i expect to get a girlfriend anytime soon
>get gf>10-15 year of sex>get kidsso i get kids at 55? i rather not
>>714807628>there are good looking people out there, even with a nice personality, that don't have sex or find a partner for one reason or another?Lol.
>>714807735It happens.
Usually due to some form of trauma or mental illness.
>>714807628>Also, have you considered moving to another country?Everything I'm good at is being replaced by A.I so points for real countries will be a bitch. More importantly, family is last excuse not to kill myself. Mainly since brother is a breedie so being a heavily involved uncle.
>>714769229 (OP)Pokemon Brilliant Diamond on RyujinX with multiple mods
I've already played a million games and i'm still trying new stuff but most of the time it's the same stripped down stuff in a different coating.
Some recent stuff i'm playing is;
Preserve
Arhaekon
Void War
Lies of P
Although i'm still hooked on DRG and keep returning due to the insane customization and overal sense of camraderie and bantz.
I could play with my own online friends but they always fuck everything up, killing each other for fun. So i just goon in pubs.
>>714807898>familyYeah. That's a good reason to stay where you are, I get that.
Well, rooting for things to get better on your side.
>>714769229 (OP)>What are you playing?The same games I was playing in 2010
>Which games are you looking forward to?Death
>>714769363Depends if you can get to the point where you just don't care and enjoy yourself
>>714798506refer to the OP, gramps.
>Which games are you looking forward to?>Which games are you looking forward to?>Which games are you looking forward to?
>>714769229 (OP)quake champions

>>714806935>>714777158>on sale for 2.99Cheers anons, this one has been on the back of my brain since forever.

>>714804776gooning, mostly
>>714804776What did you even spend your 20s doing???
Marvel Rivals/Dota 2. Not really looking forward to anything right now.
>>714769229 (OP)trying to learn halo 3 for the first time, i never played it before but trying it now. i cannot hit anything, i played a boat load of quake so my aim is solid but i'm getting fucked up by people on controller of all things
>>7147844063s is fine if you can accept air parries kill the standard SF neutral. personally i fucking hated 3s. it's a game that lives and dies by what you think about parry
>>714810764Dota 2 is fun but I get really fucking mad on that game. Had an invoked that was 2-29 on my team the other day and we lost after a 63 minute game. Talking trash in China language the entire time. If you watch the replay he fed first blood and ran at the enemy the whole game bot lane. People like this actually exist and i think they are just friends of someone on the other team desu
