I think Suselle can be fun, but I'm mostly just curious where exactly it's going when it comes to Susie's development as a character. It's going to feel hollow by default when so much of the motion is driven by her friendship with Kris and Ralsei.

Even Noelle seems to mostly get a lot of out of her relationship with Kris. Ignoring the weird route, you do help her out at several point and generally make her more capable of standing up for herself. I think that having a SOUL is what determines who is a Lightner and who is a Darkner in a Dark World. The only things that are Lightners in a Dark World are beings with SOULs (Susie, Noelle, Berdly, etc.) while common objects like cards become Darkners, which definitely do not have SOULs; they're not alive. And Darkners transform into characters with goals, dreams, and ambitions when it gets Darker than Dark. What if whatever happened to the Roaring Knight to become that fucked up is something that could happen if Kris enters a Dark World without a SOUL?

Not only is Berdly passed the fuck out and thus incapable of taking Kris to the festival, it has been made very clear that Kris is the one taking Noelle and not Susie in the weird route. I'm going to be really disappointed if we don't get anything different on specifically weird route abort in ch 4, but I am expecting it. It's the biggest moment of Kris fighting our bullshit (even if we aren't outright controlling him in this moment) and we also get a Noelle who had that moment the night before where Kris reassured her on stuff and didn't mind break her with our choices.
