Ah. For me it was when I was doing carlife and saving up for a rentoid house; started experiencing electronic harassment symptoms but no V2K
It was also shortly after playing this game, funny enough.
Didn't figure out what was going on until I got my rentoid house and they started seething so much while I was fixing it up I started seeing boots on the ground gangstalkers daily and then getting V2K.
Now I've escaped the gangstalking town and follow the protocol religiously, no more V2K, no more stalkers

My biggest gripe is the length. It feels like chunks of the game were just flat out cut. Less enemy types than ss1 and less locations. Its got lots of guns but its too short to really experiment much - (I think this is for replay ability). The story was really by the numbers and there wasn't much in terms of plot discovery. There was a lot of character build variety which is cool but I wanted more of a variety of enemies to try stuff out on.

I like SS2 but my biggest problem with it is the RPG mechanics, ironically. Which is funny because it came from LGS and I believe you can find a little rant they wrote about RPG mechanics in games like this and how they break immersion.

I just finished it for the first time and enjoyed it, though the ending was a bit of a slog. I liked the SS1 remake a lot more, with the exception of cyberspace SS2 felt like a much weaker rehash of the first game.

I know this is just shitposting but it's kinda true in terms of gameplay, because the weapon and enemy balance is completely fucked in SS2. Prey still gets easier over time but the difficulty curve and weapon design is much better.
That said SS2 mogs Prey 10000x in terms of atmosphere. Even the best modern games still don't have sound design that comes close to it. I love almost everything about it, the constant hum of the engines, the bwe-oo sound of the buttons, the sound the worms make, it's all amazing
