These are most of the games I got, too lazy to remove some of the free to play slop I never played, and some old games I bought a long time ago, but most of these are fresh, like maybe 90% of them are bought during this sale, mostly the CRPG/Strategy shit, but not all of it is just that slop, used to hate that shit when I was younger but, recently played XCOM, and Fallout and for some reason despite me hating these kind of games years ago, I guess something changed in my mind that allowed me to like it, I guess age really can make you like new things.

But I also got Cyberpunk, Hatred, Intravenous 2, most of the other non-strategy/turn-based games are things I already previously owned though.

I bought Rematch and Wreckfest 2 but I refunded them both. Rematch just pits you against way better players making it impossible to have any fun or learn how to play when everyone just salsas around you and scores 4 goals in 90 seconds. Wreckfest 2 is in pre-alpha and I'm gonna wait like another 2 fucking years before it's actually done.

Not sure if I know the consensus, but I enjoyed it alot. The combat was nice and the setting was cool. Story is a bit hit and miss at times, but not bad. Lies of P lacks the freedom you associate with Souls/Sekiro games when it comes to moving around the map. It is much more linear, but I didn't mind. You have a couple of different ways to play and most of the bosses are cool

I bought Strange Horticulture and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Beat the former already, was thinking to prep for the sequel but I can't even install the demo of Strange Antiquities with Windows 8.1 so forgetting about that.

Thinking of getting Golf With Your Friends, but the complete edition is ridiculously priced so maybe I won't. I hate getting an incomplete game and paying more in the long run (burned that way many times lately with Golden Idol and Outer Wilds) so I don't want to just buy the base game.

it is actually very good. grapple/swing mechanics are unique and cool. it is a metroidvania with great movement, the combat is intense but not overbearing, and it has some precision platformer type parts that are fairly satisfying once you master them. plus the art style is very easy on the eyes, has great music, and so far the story/worldbuilding has been kind of neat (not in your face, but implies quite a bit of depth. perfect middleground for a game when it comes to story). i have been having a great time with it and do not regret the purchase at all.

It has a double-layered, completely unique item system.
It has a 10 step difficulty system that introduces new mechanics both in and pre-run, new enemies, new patterns to existig enemies and expands the story
And at 4 hours you're not going to know what the best Skul's are. Ie the default Skul is top 5 in the game and werewolf is about number 3

If you are a fan of FromSlop then you should love it. My main problem with the game (and it's a pretty common opinion I think) is that it SHOULD be trimmed to be about 2/3 of it's final size. There's too many cookie cutter dungeons filled with cookie cutter bosses. But it's only a problem if you have a compulsive need to do all of them.

My point is that while neat, the online components are ruined by the playerbase so I wouldn't use them as a selling point.
Personally if I had to weigh in I'd say that Cyberpunk was a really boring game in everything but visuals and lore/setting (not story), but at the same time Elden Ring is filled with so much padding and mediocre level design that a lot of the playtime is not engaging at all. I would definitely say play ER in the end though.

the main story is 10/10 until novigrad, then it's kind of bad the rest of the way through. hearts of stone is 10/10 all the way through and blood & wine is a solid 8/.5 all the way through.
The combat is dogshit, the RPG systems are dogshit, so you're only really playing it for the story, cozy exploration and gwent. So yeah, it's good, as long as you understand what you want out of it.

I finished it yesterday. It's basically armored core lite with more exploration and secret stuff to find (weapons, mecha parts, anime girls).
I like how Sabi (the weapon in your pic) gets a damage boost based on how fast you are while hitting the enemy. Sacrificing armor for speed made the game a "bit" harder (don't run out of energy while surrounded by shotgun bots) but zipping around and deleting robots was pretty fun.

Has anyone tried Tails of Iron? I love the artstyle but every other 2D souls like game I played sucked balls.

At the end of Act 2 it gets revealed what the fuck is going on in this world. I liked it the "twist" if you wanna call it that
Act 3 is very short in maingame content, you can beat it in maybe 2 hours if you follow the story path. But it's also jampacked with optional content, all of which is great, and has the most fun bosses in the game
It's a bit weird that they structured it like that, you can think of Act 3 as having both the last part of the story as well as all the optional post-game stuff JRPGs often have, including superbosses

Think i'm going to get Hitman WOA. Never played the 3rd on PS4 and it should be good fun going through on PC.

Never had issues manually hitting enemies' weakspots with guns, and if aiming isn't your thing you can get boost your lock-on spec with certain head parts.
Melee has a bit of a learning curve because every weapon have its own timing and you need to attack while moving (or else enemies will delete your health bar).
In my experience, katana (Sabi, not Murasama), greatsword and spear have a very generous range and it's easy to memorize their timing (you want to press the attack button half a sec before getting close to the enemy). Unfortunately the first few melee weapons you find are a shortsword and a laser dagger and their range is very short so you need to hug enemies to hit them (or jump and aim for hitspots). Attacking enemies while they are reloading helps a lot in early levels.
I suppose a fat flying ball isn't really a good example but the thread is dying and this is the only webm I have.
No idea about the "floaty" part.

Is SMT Vengeance as good as Strange Journey? That's my faorite SMT game. IV was good but lacked punch in the story.
