>>715039157Understandable. I wouldnt recommend it, but for that price and since you have a memory of it, it is no harm getting it
>>715039213When did you play it? I played it when it came out and then last year. I loved it back then and really wanted a similiar game. I replayed the Full Clip Edition, but it was so lacking the charm I thought it had those years back

>>715039293Few years back, still loved it
>>715039490Yeah, and the movement with the grappling thing and the points and variation in kills were fun
>>715039552Aight, I guess we just have different taste. Like I said to the anon with the game in his cart, I wouldnt rec the game by itself, but if you have some nostalgic feeling then it isnt a waste of money for that price
These are most of the games I got, too lazy to remove some of the free to play slop I never played, and some old games I bought a long time ago, but most of these are fresh, like maybe 90% of them are bought during this sale, mostly the CRPG/Strategy shit, but not all of it is just that slop, used to hate that shit when I was younger but, recently played XCOM, and Fallout and for some reason despite me hating these kind of games years ago, I guess something changed in my mind that allowed me to like it, I guess age really can make you like new things.
But I also got Cyberpunk, Hatred, Intravenous 2, most of the other non-strategy/turn-based games are things I already previously owned though.
>>715037904 (OP)only got n'sane trilogy because i have a loy of umplayed games because i nly play old arcade games
>>715039826You did not have to buy all of that. There is going to be another sale like this again later this fall and winter.
I bought Rematch and Wreckfest 2 but I refunded them both. Rematch just pits you against way better players making it impossible to have any fun or learn how to play when everyone just salsas around you and scores 4 goals in 90 seconds. Wreckfest 2 is in pre-alpha and I'm gonna wait like another 2 fucking years before it's actually done.
Is this game actually any good? I've only ever seen the combat, which looks terrible

>>715040073Itโs good but itโs long as fuck. It probably isnโt as impressive today as it was ten years ago, it basically set the standard

>>715040385the problem is the refund option. People would buy games at 90% off, play it for 2 hours to get the steam trading cards, refund it and sell the cards. Also, small indie games could be only 2 hours long so people would refund them after completing the game.

Whatโs the consensus on Lies of P? I like Sekiro a lot and it seems similar gameplay wise.
>>715040905literally none
>>715037904 (OP)Rec me some single player game to grind in please? I have grim dawn and last epoch already
>>715041102Not sure if I know the consensus, but I enjoyed it alot. The combat was nice and the setting was cool. Story is a bit hit and miss at times, but not bad. Lies of P lacks the freedom you associate with Souls/Sekiro games when it comes to moving around the map. It is much more linear, but I didn't mind. You have a couple of different ways to play and most of the bosses are cool
>>715041102>>715041892I forgot to mention that Sekiro might be my favorite game

I bought Strange Horticulture and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Beat the former already, was thinking to prep for the sequel but I can't even install the demo of Strange Antiquities with Windows 8.1 so forgetting about that.
Thinking of getting Golf With Your Friends, but the complete edition is ridiculously priced so maybe I won't. I hate getting an incomplete game and paying more in the long run (burned that way many times lately with Golden Idol and Outer Wilds) so I don't want to just buy the base game.
Was also thinking Darkest Dungeon II but again full edition is barely on discount.

turok 1 or doom 1(and 2)???
>>715043396it is actually very good. grapple/swing mechanics are unique and cool. it is a metroidvania with great movement, the combat is intense but not overbearing, and it has some precision platformer type parts that are fairly satisfying once you master them. plus the art style is very easy on the eyes, has great music, and so far the story/worldbuilding has been kind of neat (not in your face, but implies quite a bit of depth. perfect middleground for a game when it comes to story). i have been having a great time with it and do not regret the purchase at all.

It has a double-layered, completely unique item system.
It has a 10 step difficulty system that introduces new mechanics both in and pre-run, new enemies, new patterns to existig enemies and expands the story

Yay or nay?
>>715049773If you are a fan of FromSlop then you should love it. My main problem with the game (and it's a pretty common opinion I think) is that it SHOULD be trimmed to be about 2/3 of it's final size. There's too many cookie cutter dungeons filled with cookie cutter bosses. But it's only a problem if you have a compulsive need to do all of them.

>>715050297Remasters has """updated""" graphics but also some cut content.
The issue with the PC version of 8 is that while it has all content, it changes some things up like the entire fucking soundtrack.
Your best options for FF8 are either emulating the PS1 version, or getting non-remastered and picking up some mods (music mod, translation mod, etc).
>>715050428Damn, rare to see someone else play Legie. Painscreek is good, Roottrees is great, Lies of P is great. Labyrinth of the Demon King looks cool, but too little discount for me

>>715050557>since I love Mario and Luigi Superstar SagaIf you like the combat, Expedition 33

>>715050287You don't NEED them but it's still part of the game design. If you want to experience the options we got in 2022, play the game sooner rather than later. Your elitism completely misses the point.
>>715050297Remaster. I played the first version, and it's fine but the remaster apparently fixes more issues. I got a sound glitch during a particularly emotional scene involving a spaceship, which was annoying.
>>715050340Yes to Noita, it's fantastic.
The sales are garbage because new games dont get good discounts anymore. We haven't had good steam sales since all the way back when they had those flash sales or whatever of where you could randomly get relatively newish games for like super cheap.

>>715050340The top two require very specific kinds of autism or they're complete nothing burgers. Ender Lillies is pretty decent, but mostly rides on the great visuals and music. The other game I had no interest in so I don't know.

>>715050483>>715050297Because someone's being intentionally vague here: the cut content from the remaster is "Chocobo World" which barely anyone would play or care about, and its rewards got worked into the regular game. Bought some games this sale.
>>715051287That's always a big concern of mine.
>>715051331Nice projecting. I just dont see the point of buying many games that will last for many hours and that you won't be able to get through until next sale. Some of those didn't even have a good discount, like Spiderman or even Sekiro (which wasnt even on sale). It is retarded to throw away money for no reason. If you think "disposable income" is the same as throw it out the window, then you are either very rich or completely retarded.
>>715051283Where are the short games in your haul? Maybe Monster Train 2, but the rest is long format gaming. I would understand your argument if you had some short indies like Chop Goblins or something similiar, but all you have are games that have long playtimes. You even bought Yakuza Pirate before the sale?!
>Bundle deals where it's cheaper to get the series. If you havent played the series, it might be waste of money. None of those bundles were cheaper than buying the first game and trying first.
>>715051089that's too much, you are not going to play all of them and some of those games are long as fuck
>>715051490My point is that while neat, the online components are ruined by the playerbase so I wouldn't use them as a selling point.
Personally if I had to weigh in I'd say that Cyberpunk was a really boring game in everything but visuals and lore/setting (not story), but at the same time Elden Ring is filled with so much padding and mediocre level design that a lot of the playtime is not engaging at all. I would definitely say play ER in the end though.
>>715051564I remember In-Heat being early access patreon slop, probably not worth it. Plus you can pirate it off F95, same with Melty's.
If you really want the furry experience, just get Koikatsu (also piratable) and get to modding. Even has a VR mode, it's maybe the only reason to still own a headset if you're not a simfag.
>>715051785I've followed In-Heat a bit to see they've been updating steadily so I thought might as well.
I pirated Meltys years ago and enjoyed the first hour plus I like Remtairy's games, mainly Karryn's Prison so I wanted to support by actually buying it now and play properly.
I don't care about Koikatsu or spending hours learning modding as good as that game can be.

>>715051576Similar thing just happened to the Subnautica devs. They sold it to some publisher, now that Subnautica 2 is ready for early access, they delayed the game until next year and kicked the devs out so they don't have to pay their bonus.
>>715049212Personally I thought Wukong was really good, but one thing to keep in mind is it is definitely a boss rush game. There is not really that much downtime between bosses and if you do them all there's something like 105 over what's probably going to be a 40 hour playthrough. If you don't really like boss fights very much then I'd wait for a bigger sale or maybe just skip altogether.
>>715052145Ruina is more fun to a normal person but is built on the decent story Lob unfolds over its runtime
Lob is good but filters out people more due to its mechanical style
>>715052049>but you will become poor with those bad habitsWhy do poorfags always say this? Spending 200 bucks on a sale is less than I save up in a month

>>715056574They are basically Kaizo levels, especially in the 2nd DLC pack. You would want to grind armor if you want to beat those levels even on hard difficulty.
>didn't buy a single game in 3 years
>just pirate whatever I want to actually play and play more games than ever
>>715056617How much of a le Soulslike is it?
>>715047440apparently grandia steam version doesn't have an option to take off that ugly ass filter? what the fuck were they thinking, it looks like shit
>>715056781Oh, sounds like I'll wait for next sales to see if the price can be lower. Thank you.
Baba Is You is on sale for the first time ever
Just thought I'd mention it
r8, h8, valid8

>>715038438This.
Imagine buying food lmao, what you gonna do, resell your turds??
>>715056934I already refunded it. I'm going to emulate it instead.
>>715049681Deeprock is damn fun, even if repetitive
>>715057046I posted my haul like that
>>715057046I tried AC6 it wasnt for me (i kidna liked Dark Souls games and Elden but nahhh) and for Robocop i played the demo and was REALLY not impressed
>>715054574 (my haul)
Give me some obscure recommendations like old games that have made it onto steam unceremoniously. Those are always very hard to find by just looking
>Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Anything to know? Like, something probably got censored, maybe there are mods to "uncensor" it, stuff like that?
>>715056590I just used the OG blade and police baton
>>715057046Looks good, but you know Death's Door was on humble bundle choice this month?
>>715042417So buy the dlc later? The dlc is not on sale, you gain nothing by buying it before trying the base game.
>>715056561Just because the euros made a shitty JRPG it doesn't make it any less of a shitty JRPG.
>>715057217Shadowman?
>>715057275That is what I tried to tell him. You can wait with the DLC. After the main game you might want a little break as well
my haul, i do hope dungeon defenders is somewhat alive though i dont see too many lobbies.
>>715057217Dungeon Keeper Gold and 2,Stalingrad (old and janky RTS inspired by Blitzkrieg)
>>715057329not a shitty jrpg however, easily the best jrpg in recent history and a clear evolution for the genre, and the fact it makes woke AAA companies shit their pants in fear should be celebrated, They have no excuses now like the game was in EA for years, or it's a popular IP to play down what a success Expedition 33 has
>>715049681Skul is massively overrated retard.
>>715057353Did you buy the Darkest Dungeon DLC too?
How are stronghold games ?
>>715057119yeah, seems like the right choice for that one
Is Fantasian: Neo Dimension worth it?
>>715050340I recommend against NGO. The game is extremely short, the replay is repetitive and focused on autistic ending-collecting, and the story isn't very interesting.
>>715057531hell no i was told they are cash grabs. im happy with the base game so far
>>715057559Definitive is great
The Crusader Definitive Ed will be out next week
>>715057793Good choice since I was gonna recommend playing with the DLC for the first times
>>715057662Not for that price
>>715055173>JRPG but not animeThat's why.
I bought cult of the lamb and couldn't refund it so I used steam achievements manager to max all achievements and removed it from my library
>>715057907Do you get def ed for free if you own "og" ?
What are good games but you play as cute anime girls?
>>715057264>death's door was on humble bundle choice this monthbrother I don't even get half my games thru Steam lol, they are slipping on the sales
>>715058047They did a large discount for OG owners when Stronghold Definitive Edition first came out but it was a one time thing and you needed to have owned the original for at least a year I think.
And that's it for this sale. That was by far the most I've bought during a single sale. I'm think I've become addicted to collecting steam games I'll never play.
Oh? You're wondering which of those games I bought I've been playing? None of them of course. Instead, I'm playing RE4 for the 12th time instead.
>>715038578>trannyspinner>>715040073the main story is 10/10 until novigrad, then it's kind of bad the rest of the way through. hearts of stone is 10/10 all the way through and blood & wine is a solid 8/.5 all the way through.
The combat is dogshit, the RPG systems are dogshit, so you're only really playing it for the story, cozy exploration and gwent. So yeah, it's good, as long as you understand what you want out of it.
>>715047712SOMA, I guess? It's an undersaturated genre unfortunately
>>715057046too much pixelshit but based taste otherwise
>>715058065Atelierlikes mostly, but they seem to be often expensive even on discount.
>>715057353Get animation speed mods for DD when it starts to drag on. Also, start exploring the final dungeon as soon as you've got a maxed out squad, or you might be in for a grind later. It's a three part expedition, you aren't going to end the game out of nowhere.
>>715057793Crimson Court is the worthwhile one, big expansion with new mechanics woven into campaign. Not recommended for the first go, it's a doozy.
>no Nuclear Option sale
still worth 20 bux?
>>715058337how far is the vita version of darkest dungeon. I think I'm play it on there.
>>715043449why are you here on every thread sharing your shit taste fucking faggot

Is this the right move if I like the old Total War games?
Zoomshitter so I didn't get to grow up playing these.
>>715055173The director made the game because of two things

>>71503866212 years later and I am still seething over it being the exact same brown and bloom melodramatic cover shooter it claimed not to be. Main villain was pretty funny though, really stole the show any time he spoke.
>>715060641I fail to see what Total War has to do with anything but CoH is an absolute must-play RTS

What a haul! What a Fucking haul Bros!
>>715052549The story only happens in the fraction of the game that is not a dream and the vast majority of the game is just an excuse to have JRPG things happen because this is a video game for some reason. I thought it was worth it just for the soundtrack but your mileage my vary
>>715038505I was in his position for Yugioh cards that I bought for nostalgia reasons. But then I came into money trouble a few years later and sold most of them. Interestingly enough, I made profits through the process.
I think I paid 1k total and got 1,5k back.
Not huge but eh, it was fun while it lasted.

>>715062126Hope you're aware that Suzerain is basically a VN. It's a good game, but I've seen people get tricked into thinking it's a grand strategy game
Shilling "not for broadcast" as one of the most funny and unique games out there
Bought Cyberpunk 2077. It's really mid. Okay as a looter shooter, but the RPG elements suck and the story was written by a californian that voted for Hillary/Biden/Harris
>>715060849Not yet but I'm planning to play both of them.
>>715060397I finished it yesterday. It's basically armored core lite with more exploration and secret stuff to find (weapons, mecha parts, anime girls).
I like how Sabi (the weapon in your pic) gets a damage boost based on how fast you are while hitting the enemy. Sacrificing armor for speed made the game a "bit" harder (don't run out of energy while surrounded by shotgun bots) but zipping around and deleting robots was pretty fun.
Has anyone tried Tails of Iron? I love the artstyle but every other 2D souls like game I played sucked balls.
>>715062842This game is clearly bad because the dev couldn't even be bothered putting an apostrophe in his title
>>715062460I knew it was highly story driven but there's at least mechanics, right?
>>715058945I had enough fun with the endless and story modes to 100% it while never playing online but 15 bucks is pretty steep for a game I got for 5 bucks half a decade ago
>>715062759It was written by a bunch of Poles, actually
>>715055173Same question as this anon
I often read that Expedition 33 has a shitty plot twist and the second half of the game is garbage
Is it true? Is it the same thing that happened with BG3, where a game is praised as GOTY for its first half because people don't actually finish videogames?
>>715062925Of course, there's all the stuff you would expect like budget, army size, popularity and voting, which party you learn to, which characters support you, shit like that
You just interact with them by clicking events on the map and taking certain options in them, you don't click your army mans to move them around or anything like that
Like I said, good game that is well worth playing
>>715062842Some demo criticisms were the hitboxes were bad and it feeling too "floaty". What do you say about it?
I want gun customization of an extraction shooter but without the extraction or multiplayer part, is such a thing even exist?
>>715063089At the end of Act 2 it gets revealed what the fuck is going on in this world. I liked it the "twist" if you wanna call it that
Act 3 is very short in maingame content, you can beat it in maybe 2 hours if you follow the story path. But it's also jampacked with optional content, all of which is great, and has the most fun bosses in the game
It's a bit weird that they structured it like that, you can think of Act 3 as having both the last part of the story as well as all the optional post-game stuff JRPGs often have, including superbosses
Think i'm going to get Hitman WOA. Never played the 3rd on PS4 and it should be good fun going through on PC.
>>715063058Just check the credits on the game bro it's free
>>715063089Most people who says that are brainlets that ignored everything the game throws at you from the beginning, and then act surprised.
>>715063217Crysis games have a bit of tinkering
MGS V had in-depth customization, if I remember right.
Stalker with mods can probably go as tacticool as you might want.
Ready or Not seems to have in-depth customization
>>715063175I was hoping for a something a little more simulationist, but I already knew it was a "hardcore" government sim type of thing, still sounds fun though, glad I picked it up either way. I've been looking for something to scratch that Democracy 3 itch.
>>715063187NTA but I also beat the game and did one NG playthrough, The thing about hitboxes that guy is talking about is the melee weapons being hard/bad to use. I have no idea about what he means by being floaty, maybe he used lightweight pieces and didn't like it being to fast? Also it is quite clear that person came in expecting a soulslike and not an AC game with souls exploration.
Can someone give me their opinion on Planet Crafter? It looks so ugly graphically but seems to have really good reviews? How good is the co-op in the game?
>>715063892>I was hoping for a something a little more simulationisthttps://store.steampowered.com/app/774091/Ostalgie_The_Berlin_Wall/
>>715063187Never had issues manually hitting enemies' weakspots with guns, and if aiming isn't your thing you can get boost your lock-on spec with certain head parts.
Melee has a bit of a learning curve because every weapon have its own timing and you need to attack while moving (or else enemies will delete your health bar).
In my experience, katana (Sabi, not Murasama), greatsword and spear have a very generous range and it's easy to memorize their timing (you want to press the attack button half a sec before getting close to the enemy). Unfortunately the first few melee weapons you find are a shortsword and a laser dagger and their range is very short so you need to hug enemies to hit them (or jump and aim for hitspots). Attacking enemies while they are reloading helps a lot in early levels.
I suppose a fat flying ball isn't really a good example but the thread is dying and this is the only webm I have.
No idea about the "floaty" part.
Is SMT Vengeance as good as Strange Journey? That's my faorite SMT game. IV was good but lacked punch in the story.
>>715056572easily a thousand hour of gameplay if not more, enjoy it friend

>>715060641the CoH games are not like total war games at all, much more squad focused and tactical, still very good
