Therefore either unique should never be used in an artistic context, or it has a different but similar in essence definition.
Something can be both "unique" and inspired at the same time in an artistic sense, but of course not by dictionary definition.
If we want to go by dictionary definition, then of course photoshop Flowey isn't "unique" or one of a kind, because there is no such thing as an original idea as all ideas have to be derived from something, but it is the first time that a game has attempted such a concept and been successful enough at portraying that concept to persist in the public consciousness, which does give it merit.
If I was just trying to praise Undertale, I would be praising the narrative writing and character writing. My point is that there's more to art than who came up with something first.
