I got held back on my last year of HS and did not know a single person on my class the second time around. I ended up making friends with only 2 girls.
It was fun, I guess. I had zero experiences hanging out with the opposite gender up until that point so I guess it saved me from becoming a sperg. I used to go without semi-regularly. 24 wasn't hard on Friday nights because I worked mornings and was in a long-distance relationship. Time zone difference meant late night was when we could talk. Went a little over 48 without once but I was barely lucid by the end.

Watching that show just made me angry. The MC is a simple guy, a good guy. But those girls selfishly drag him onto their drama. They are, by definition, losers and poor-picks.
By itself that would've been fine, but it bothered me the way they are constantly putting him down, making him feel bad, making comments on how the MC was inadequate. These girls felt like shit from being dumped and wanted him to feel like shit alongside them.
