isn't it interesting how gaster and the holidays have some habit of discovering issues with the world and falling into glitches and easter-eggs and they both reference real world religion/traditions, gaster referencing 666 and the holidays referencing christmas?
Doesn't it make sense for the game to constantly try and get rid of the holidays by sending them out of bounds and throwing them into the depths? The game is fiction, but this real world holiday has, just like the player, wormed itself into the fictional reality, and the fiction is trying to completely eradicate the holidays because christmas doesn't belong in this world, christianity doesn't exist in deltarune, but Christmas has still made its way in through sheer pervasiveness
ICE-E, too, is pervasive. In all aspects of Home-town. We NEVER see fictional characters become darkners, but ICE-E has a chance to, ICE-E is both a real mascot and a series of ever-present items. Noelle is scared of both ICE-E and Santa Claus.

ICE-E is real. So Real that he becomes essential to any fiction that wishes to immerse the lightners. So real he becomes fiction. He becomes omnipresent.
