7.1 is a typical x.1 patch, just a bit worse because its still with the DT cast, but it at least ends on something interesting, 7.2 was really good, and if you're annoyed at Wuk you'll be happy to know they heavily scaled back on her apperances, she is still a major character but she doesnt dominated the MSQ like in 7.0, and the story is actually going somewhere and is interesting.

Anon-kun, there are two halves to the problem with the raids. First, like I said, was gear scaling. A shorter fight means you probably won't mess up, or if you do, you have 23 other retards who can more than make up for you. Second is that all the newer raids(So SHB and EW, like I said I haven't played DT's alliance raid) have mechanics that are just variation of "stand here", so even if you are confused the first time around, you can just follow everyone else who has done the song and dance before. Both of these aren't a problem when the raid is new, since players gear isn't scaled for the raid and most probably don't know what a mechanic does is yet, so they don't just instant move to where they need to be, meaning you just have to follow them like a puppy.

Yes. NIN has so many varying cool downs that always need to sync perfectly up in their 60/120 second window and very little in between. So if you fuck your opener/TA window up you are unable to recover, since your filler combo does very, very little damage and you might as well wall if shit is ever drifting.

It is also supremely gimped in AoE damage since all its big buttons basically double for single target damage.
With BLM fixed, NIN is the last 'old era' style job that urgently needs a fix, since they will never change the DDR shit at this point.
