I like Poppy more because she feels like she has a real personality. Candy suffered from the fact that she is barely there. She wasn’t even playable in Barrel Blast. She is arguably the least used character even by retro themselves. I honestly cant tell what her personality is and outside of maybe 64 (and the show or manga Kek) I’m sure she has a personality outside of DK’s girlfriend.
Poppy just makes a bigger impression because she important and because of that she has the luxury of having screen time. Through her animations alone you get more personality than anything Candy ever did
