SWTOR got me so fucking mad when I played it a couple months back. Your character that got so fucking strong that the rest of the sith council were small potatoes in comparison to you, you formed your own faction in order to beat an entire empire that was buttfucking both the republic and the sith empire and because some fags complained that your character is not a janny anymore they reduced your character to being a lackey again to the 2 factions. I dropped the game right there never to pick it up again.

Well I'm one of those weirdos who actually like Mission in KotOR and Vette is literally just Mission 2.0.
If you go return as f2p/preferred status, you got like a 500k or 1kk credit limit with the rest in escrow that you can't access. Depending on when you left you'll find the game has changed quite a bit, skill trees are gone, you can chose any of the force classes for any of the force user stories and dito for the non-force stories and classes, and companions basically hard carry you through the game now and you can choose their specialization instead of being forced into using the healer companion 99% of the time.
Also you can skill all but the class and planetary stories and comfortably hit max level before you get through all the quests.

Well there were multiple overhauls to skill trees. The originals have been gone for a long time now, which were just pre-MOP WoW skill trees, they then got condensed like post-MOP skill trees, then they just told you to choose a specialization and auto-skilled most of the skill tree for you on appropriate levels with an occasional choice between 3 different options.

If you're just doing story quests then it literally does not matter. Your companions all come with a healer mode and it's enough to keep you going through anything as long as you don't overpull or aren't heavily underlevelled or geared for what you want to do. And you shouldn't be because each planet has daily quests with a reward box that scales to your level so you'll always have armour (not weapons though) that are up to date.

did most of the story classes a few months ago by only doing class missions (outside of doing all planet missions on my first character) and had quite a bit of fun on empire but really didn't enjoy most of republic shit.

It's worth playing through the class stories, people highlight Sith Warrior (LS) and Imperial Agent as the best, but personally I think every single one is worth at least a single playthrough, well, minus Inquisitor. The entire game can be done solo including the dungeons. Some people really love the KotFE content so you may want to keep going and see all of that once, but I honestly think the game isn't worth playing past the original class stories.

About 2 years ago I got the urge to play swtor after not trying it since the closed beta. I used this image and crossed it off as I went, maining a Sith Shadow and occasionally interrupting the journey by playing another class's main story.

By the time I finally burned out, I'd reached Ossus on my main, earned legendary status and raised each class to 80 along the way. It was one of the best single player games I've ever played, but I did occasionally use the group finder and general chat to get groups for the raids and flash points.

I wish I could go back to that summer and do it again, but there probably isn't enough left over for me to get back into it. What a great game though. I envy anyone who's starting out fresh.

Inquisitor is my favorite, its a good zero to hero story, and it ends with you being most powerful of the classes lorewise. Being on the dark council is a lot cooler than being "emperors bitch" the inquisitor gets a power structure a cult, a fleet of ships, other dark council allies, it feels a lot more like you are working with marr and acina to try desperstely to lead a stable empire than just being someone elses bitch like warrior.
