Basically as a Niners fan you just kind of have to accept that they invested heavily in finding the qb of the future and they did, just not with the pick they thought they would. Since Purdy was essentially free there was no additional opportunity cost and they saved themselves from their failed evaluation by making a good choice in a later round.
