Bloody Hell Hotel

I hope Wild Blue (StarFox 64 clone) is good, but I worry it'll be ruined by amateur voice acting. Ex-Zodiac scratched the itch a bit, but because of the lack of VA you miss out on a lot of dialog. Also for some reason they won't add somersaulting like SF64.

Probably better options for Goldeneye clones by now, I've just not looked.

Poke All Toads demo was fun, so I hope that comes out this year.

It has multiplayer too as an option but seemingly is going to be more focused on having some story stuff in the sandbox. They said it isn't going to be a story game so who knows what that means. I agree. I actually like games like Battle Brothers and XCOM in concept but they both feel like there's no comback mechanics. When you lose high level characters the world already scaled and then starting with low level dudes feels like a softlock.
I'm fine with challenges but these games feel like they don't allow mistakes. You just need to start a 10+ hour run over

Because they aren't working consistently enough for that. This is clearly a game where the devs drop in a week or 2 of work every 2-3 months. It's not a daily job and trying to do regular devlogs would make that very obvious.

It was a very similar situation with Deathground. For the first 2 years the game was barely worked on, it was just here-and-there work, it wasn't until earlier this year they got enough money/time to work on the game consistently and then started doing monthly devlogs.

Anyone remember webms of a game being posted here where you're a warrior and you pick moves from a menu and time slows down between each turn. Not at all. Think HLL but with all the bad parts removed. Instead of forcing you to walk for 5 fucking minuets to contact you can be in contact in less than 30 sec usually. Maps are big enough so that you dont feel like your stuck in a lane but small enough so that contact is easy to find. If it truly is a spiritual successor to RS2 it will be the perfect balance between realism and actual fun. As far as I know no other game captures this as well as RS2

I'm really looking forward to Dreamsettler, the sequel to Hypnospace Outlaw. Hypnospace was one of the coolest and most unique games I've ever played, there's really nothing else like it as far as I can tell. You basically play as a social media janny for a social network that people can only access while sleeping and wearing a special headset, and you basically freeform solve shit and navigate the player's personal websites and pages to find rulebreakers and other problems, set in a Web 1.0 kind of internet. The sequel looks like more of the same, but on the newer internet.
