Xenoblade is definitely one. Metroid both the 2d and 3d games, Super Mario RPG, Astral Chain, Splatoon is the best console shooter series ever made, what else... Oh, Kirby and Smash of course.

I for one have really enjoyed mario kart and DKB. i hope as more systems continue to sell that i can get consistently totally full lobbies in MKW online though, there was a noticable decrease during the splatfest and then DKB released and that took people away but i expect it to recover

If you like JRPG, consider the Xenoblade games. Divisive but I enjoyed them all quite a bit. X Definitive Edition I particularly enjoyed for the gameplay and exploration.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is another great 3D platformer. Easy but well crafted, fun throughout.
Metroid Dread is a pretty solid return to 2D and offers a proper challenge. Prime 4 remains to be seen in its finished form but I have high hopes for that one. If you haven't played the first one, I'd say Prime Remastered is a must. It's pretty cheap too.
People are currently hyped about Bananza, but Returns and Tropical Freeze are also some great 2D platformers that are no cakewalk. TF is better.
Might be worth checking out Splatoon 3, but that's mostly for online play and I'm not sure how accessible to newcomers it is this late in the games lifespan. I only played around launch.
PH, and those Mario × Rabbids games are usually dirt cheap. The first one is a lot like X-Com, haven't played the second. It has a demo too IIRC, maybe check that out.

I'm starting to see why Snoys and Xbots are losing it at Nintendo and Valve. Valve is about to make entry into console market space for real this time. Sony is verifying their shit for Deck seeing it as their PlayStation handheld meaning I wouldn't be surprised if that in-house 2029 handheld gets canned. Microsoft's OEM direction will fail and they will go third party. Everyone will just get a Switch 2 and Steam Deck 2 since Microsoft and Sony will put all their games on them optimizing for them while fully going third party. lmao, Nintendo and Valve won hard. The Switch and Steam Deck were brilliant ideas.

The home console bit feels like speculation at best, chances are the Steam Deck 2 will just have a better dock ala Switch 2 that gives that home console experience with the Steam Controller 2. But Nintendo and Valve are pretty much taking over. If Valve were to ever try a home console again (I doubt it) it'll be through OEM Steam Machines again using the newer SteamOS.

The original Deck was an experiment sold directly to the consumer. The fact that it's basically the PC handheld market is insane. It actually being sold in stores like Wal-Mart and Target along with getting Nintendo-level marketing would be huge. It would also serve as an entry point to PlayStation and Xbox games giving you little reason to get another Sony/Microsoft console. It'll sell significantly more, it will never beat the Switch 2, of course, but it will make its mark in the game industry finally pulling gaming completely away from both Microsoft and Sony.

Exactly, they had enough foresight to make it so you can't get stuck even if you deleted literally all of the terrain possible so you can still progress to the end of the level. There's even spots where you can raise a column of regenerative terrain to go back up to checkpoints and whatnot. You just won't be able to get all of the bananas if you do shit like this.
