Reason things were like that was because gaming back then was far more niche with a small pool of “gamers.” Cause of this companies had to be cut-throat and hostile in order to court gamers because otherwise they wouldn't survive

His boss fights are bad (especially THAT one), his iconic theme is horribly mangled on the occasions it's actually used, and he doesn't really do anything memorable. I thought I wouldn't like Fractones. When I first saw them I got this NSMB/NuPM darkages-Mario stink off of them.
But they're really just hedonistic little rocks all up in their own worlds doing their own things. Who have a proclivity to mimic their surroundings. And don't really give a fuck of they're smashed or trashed.
If they were the only creatures inhabiting the hollow earth it would have probably been more difficult to appreciate them, but since the hollow earth is full of other kinds of creatures, it was really fun to have the fractones contrast them. And to mimic them.
Like even the game acknowledges that the fractones are odd fellas even compared to the other already odd beings of the hollow earth.

It was cute when fractones finally encountered the simians salvagers and started taking on monkey forms.

Part of me feels like they’d hold off longer adding k rool to avoid spoilers. But I really hope he’s added, Diddy, Dixie, Funky, and Cranky. Maybe no funky because he doesn’t show in Bananza besides a billboard. I’d be happy with void, grumpy, poppy, kritter, klaptrap, kaboom, zinger, armadillo, and necky too. I feel they have a decent shot because of the amount of generic mooks in the base game. I’d love to see a DK island/I got isle/planet core dlc add on. They could probably easily open up an underground area to access planet core race tracks and intermissions. Add a fractione and Rambi as playable too while they’re at it.

Me too man, though Ult is just a partial fix as its tail was very short, probably a compromise between his Paon and Og design. Bananza fixed this with a longer tail.

There is also the upper 6 front teeth, which in the Paon and Smash design they are straight while in the OG and Bananza they are crooked like a proper Croc, though this part im fine with either, its just the lack of tail it bothers me.

They really do build up Void to be this bastard, he really is the main villian of the game and K. Rool just takes his place as the final boss. I think the climax of the game would have stayed relatively the same just with void kong instead of K. Rool, gold instead of rotton banandium and void kong ads all over the city instead of K. Rool ones.pauline also doesn't really get her get back against Void for turning her into a rock twice and forcing her to sing, he just gets punched away.

I get it though K. Rool smash reveal was one of the biggest which was surprising to even k. Rool fans lol(probablyhad somethingto do with how good of a song gangplank Galleon is). Everyone wanted to see him return and he definitely
wasn't begrudgingly included because he's very well animated and his boss fights are very spectacular and tailor made for him. They clearly fell in love with the character when the decided to include him
