Luckily I got the novels years ago in 2015, so they were still priced normally. I actually read them before seeing the anime, and essentially became obsessed with Yuki as I read further. I’m glad I did it that way, because it made the jump from monochrome pictures and written words to animation a bigger deal. Seeing how well they adapted Disappearance was pretty special. And Someday in The Rain was a great anime original surprise.

I really enjoyed Disappearance of Nagato Yuki. I binged the whole series over like 2 weeks so the switch between animation studios was a little jarring, but after I got used to it I didn't want to stop watching. The scene where "canon" Yuki disappears and Disappearance Yuki takes over again got me right in the feels.

I know some are translated, but I haven’t dived too deep into the Haruhi vidya myself. Mainly because it was pretty recent that I even learned people were translating them. I know the DS game is almost finished in English, and I was planning on starting there since it would be pretty easy to play with my hacked 3DS.
And I actually still haven’t seen the Yuki-Chan anime. Since she’s basically a different character in that form, I haven’t been clamoring to check it out. I think her Disappearance personality is most interesting as a reflection of her desires. That’s what she would like to be. But her normal self is what I love.
