It's great for career mode since it's a cheap skill with a pretty good effect since it's guaranteed to always activate.
For PvP it's only good for preventing your enemy from activating their Lone Wolf since even if the enemy doesn't have that skills your own horses will cancel each other out.

I love super creek careers because it's very easy to decide when to glue her in the first 30 turns.

It's the pity system in this game, if you roll 200 times in a single banner you can exchange 200 points for the rate up character/support card.
Any left over points gets converted into clovers that you can use in the item shop, so the spark points don't carry over to the next banner.

depends entirely on your stat spread, different thresholds have different % for thing to proc, like 80% skill proc at 500, or 48% for downhill speed burst at 1200 wit, but generally there's enough variation going on that the alarm clocks for multiple tries are one of the most helpful items in the game, unless you are so far behind the curve even the variations won't help you

Wit is the anti-RNG stat. The higher your Wit, the lower chance your horse has of fucking up in a number of ways.
That's why early career races are so cursed, especially if you're running Front with a low aptitude. Sometimes your horse will mismanage their stamina and timing so badly they lose to a generic scrub despite having higher stats.

Did your stamina refill skills not fire? did you get debuffed? did the passives that give +stamina not apply because its the wrong track/conditions? Then Guts would have been the extra reservoir of Stam that would have been too expensive to just outright pay the Stamina training for that was the difference in deficit.
Or maybe Guts reduces the stamina drain of being rushed, or provides "fake power" stats that only fires after a late start to add extra acceleration

Everything after that never goes to complete halt, I dunno if Rank matter because I'm currently at B1, so maybe people at higher rank need higher stamina for their race track.

That's just long horses. They require monstrous amounts of stamina which also makes it harder to even win your career. You could try to train a 600-800-600 end runner Gold Ship with maestro and see how she does for you in 2500/2600m races.
The free Mejiro McQueen support card you get from the story and can buy from the club point shop can give you another gold recovery skill for long runs

do you believe all long races are equal? they go from 2500m up to 3400m and there's a huge difference in stamina requirement between them.
