OP I work as a glowie in Japan/Yokohama and I love it. I rather cut my arm off then move back to the hellscape of 2020s CONUS.

I personally belive Yokohama (granted im Biased) is the most video game centric city becuase its in so many games and anime, Yakuza, Shenmue, Nekopara, lost city, Hatsune Miku. Picrel

There are great little arcades that have tons of older neo-geo games and whatnot. The city also is a mix of western and Japanese and not as a cramped as tokyo. Akihrabra is good dont let the haters tell you otherwise its just its always been in flux and alot of the anime and game stuff moved to other parts of the city. Its also gotten a lot more coo.er centric and alot of the maid cafes are really prostitution fronts not that I give a shit but I perfer a more anime innocence vibe then a Shinjuku red light district.
Japanese girls imo are just as bad as American girls with the added language barrier. I've only ever fucked like 2 in the 3 years I've been here and only one met the jirai, goth sterotype. If you only care about cooming just go to the nearest language school or temple university. The amount of disheveled enby weebs cute girls/women in language stuides is staggering..
Japanese isnt required but is a fucking game changer if you can learn it. I strongly recommend studying kana/ and basic Kanji while LISTENING 100X your basic verb sentence structure. I.e これわかりていいですか. I was planning on buying a house there but I like Okinawa better.
