There's only two things that matter to you now: Friends and blood. And the first one only lasts until the second one runs out.
Whoever you were in life, whatever you used to do and believe in, it doesn't matter. None of it matters, nothing humans say, think or do is any more relevant to you than the thoughts of cows is to humans. Hell, there's no reason to ever get involved in mortal nonsense except to make sure your hunting grounds aren't depleted by the innate human desire to self-destruct.

And speaking of hunting grounds, you'd think you could just go out and get a snack any time you feel peckish right? Nah, not so. Every city, town, region and burrough belongs to some jackass who gets to decide who can and can't feed there. It's insane when you think about it, because there's 8 billion humans and still the primogens act like one unsanctioned bite would end humanity. Nope, it's ALL about control. Control the blood and they control YOU. And why would they want to control you, I bet you're wondering. Well, why does anyone want to be sheriff, baron or prince? For the power, nothing else. And the power to do what, is the next obvious question - and I couldn't tell you, seems like some kindred just get off to having control over others, probably did in life, too. In my opinion all power does is paint a big fat target on your back, but maybe that's worth it to have your blood served in wine bottles. Pretentious fanged pricks every one of them, no matter what they're peddling. Do like me and stay unaligned as long as they'll let you kid, that's the biggest favour you can do yourself.

Not really. Wesp tries to portray it as being the same as his own patch. The only change it really has is that it makes Jeanette and Therese walk around in their room a bit. Otherwise it's the same as vanilla. The only issue with the True Patch is that it doesn't work on Windows 10 and has been surpassed in various other technical fixes by the Unofficial Patch like faster save times. If Wesp could actually just make a version of the Unofficial Patch which only bug fixes I'd use it, but I have to take files from both patches to play the game how I want it which is just vanilla with less bugs. I played VtMB a lot without fan patches soon after it came out and the True Patch is closer to vanilla, just technically outdated.

Even in recent versions of the Unofficial Patch, Wesp made changes to lockpicking difficulty in Santa Monica in the basic version because in the plus version he nerfed Blood Buff so lockpicking isn't as useful. I don't really know what else there is but I know there are dialogue changes still in basic too and that's not considering all the changes to music and how Disciplines work and everything else that's happened over the years with it.
