Sounds like it's been badly mismanaged by the team responsibly for this. I have a feeling they just aren't able to make stable enough servers for a world wide release. Also, I can't imagine this game with garner a lot of hype outside of the few regions it was released in. Looks like a major bust.

They probably don't have faith on it, Fall Guys craze is already old and like you said the game's kid-friendly aesthetic is a turn off for most sonicfags (even the kid fans would probably prefer a cooler look).

Maybe I'll play it again when it launches on Steam but I dont think I'll play it much, game was fun from what I played but it's not something that will keep me glued for an hour or two.

I think the only thing I don't enjoy about the art style is that it's blatantly ripping off Fall Guy's plastic looking art style. Otherwise it's fine, but the characters looking how they always do would have worked fine. Gameplay wise it does enough to be different but could benefit from being more of a Sonic game by making it overall faster and more momentum/physics based. Add rolling and unique character abilities and it's already more fun.

They don't need one? Series has operated fine without the characters needing a special name for them. On boorus and sites like rule34 all you need is sonic_(series) and optionally original_character. Make an OC? Just say Sonic OC. Also Mobius doesn't exist and the series was always on Earth so the name doesn't work because they would be earthlings and share the planet with humans (who would also be mobians if mobius existed). The only time saying the word would make sense is if you're specifically referring to the original Archie and old cartoon characters and not any of the real game characters
