unreal how this mogs the 2080ti and even the 3080ti
kind of makes sense because the 1080ti was never marketed for 4k unlike the other two
most 1080ti users never left 1080p so that is why it lasted so long

most people with a 2080ti or 3080ti decided to pair it with a high resolution display and then got cucked when games needed vram that exceeded what they were capable of, that is why they didn't last as long. the 11gb 1080ti from 2017 on 1080p was always going to last for a long time.

XFX making Nvidia GPUs is wild.

rtx 3060 was released like 5 years ago and the b580 performs compararively or even better depending on your cpu for cheaper

I upgraded mine 2 years ago for a 4080. Got about 2.5x performance overall and 4k became playable.

Why is the 60 series so based?
No seriously, why is it always the best of both worlds?

More mem than the next tier up and still performs just as well.
Hell, the 3060 has more than the 5060 for some reason.

it really isn't, especially nowdays, but if you've never had anything better then you can't really know what you're missing, or to put it bluntly what this anon said >>717578797

50xx isn't a real series as far as I'm concerned, unless you buy parts because the number and price is higher.

I was a bit mean but the 60 series was always the mass market card that games were targetting on PC
I still remember getting my 560ti for somewhat cheap and thinking it was a great deal. Unfortunately the performance and price gap between models is getting out of hand.
Back then it was 250-300 for the 60 and 600-800 for the best gpu at the time.

By actual hardware these are basically 50 series cards now, nvidia is just a terrible value proposition at this point so I just got a 9070 xt

I do but then my gaming expectations have massively increased in the past 20 years.
I used to play at 60fps 1680*1050 and now I want 120fps @ 4k or 90fps @ 6K for VR games

The cheapest 5060 models are pretty close to that range as well. Obviously high end PC gaming has gotten very expensive but the price for a 1080p budget machine doesn't seem that outrageous.

I have a 2080ti but I only ever play on 1080p or sometimes even lower.
Is it still inferior to the 1080ti in these conditions?
All of my screens never go above 60hz as well.
