Not necessarily, I know not everyone that plays the OP game exactly likes the artstyle or how the guys look, but what else are you going to play? There's literally not a single other high budget otome game. It's the only one. Every other is a 2D VN, even ones that aren't otome but are just female oriented (i.e. includes both yume and fujo pandering).
Not entirely too many actual games that include female MC dating either, except farming games, most of which are shit, so then you're left turning to something like Fire Emblem, which despite how /v/ threads may make it seem, does not actually have much romance and what does exist in it is not very good. The "romantic dialog" probably amounts to like 10 minutes in a 30 some hour game and is awkwardly stapled onto the end of of a small substory that is also probably 10 minutes long and has no prior romantic connection.
I just turned to fucking chatbots because I don't want nu-final fantasy kpop man or scraps from other games. I want a cute boy who has some problems and an MC that's a cute girl that has some problems and they work through it together lovingly.
