PewDiePie is a racist piece of shit who's made a career out of mocking and belittling people from other cultures, especially Indians, for cheap laughs.

There's something seriously gross about how he constantly targets Indians in his jokes and content. The T-Series feud wasn't just internet drama. It was a full on campaign where he encouraged millions of his fans to ridicule India. And the peak of that campaign was his song "Bitch Lasagna", which was basically just a string of racist stereotypes about Indian people dressed up as a joke. He's made it clear that Indians are fair game for ridicule as long as it gets him views.

His fans try to brush it off like "oh it was just a meme war" but it wasn't. It was a Western millionaire rallying his fanbase to mock a country where poverty is widespread and opportunities are limited. And instead of taking real responsibility, he just offered half assed apologies and kept cashing the checks.

It's easy to laugh at people's struggles when you've never faced them. Coming from Sweden, living in luxury, PewDiePie has no understanding of what economic desperation looks like in places like India. Telling people to "just get a better job" or mocking the country's infrastructure isn't edgy, it's ignorant.

He went after an entire country and culture and it's all for some ad revenue and winning bullshit internet war.

He arose to fame because of reacting to happy wheels, as well as pissing and shitting himself playing amnesia. One of the things he did a lot of was feature user-made content, like levels and maps directed at him. Interacting with online 'entertainers' wasn't near as common then(I think it predates the popularity of livestreaming, memory is hazy from that time due to not having reliable internet until 2012, having to rely on friends' internet.)

Basically, it's not that he's a good at games, just that he was among the first of his type. Pretty much a pioneer of the 'content creator' sphere in days where youtube was mostly just bumblefuck spur of the moment videos with a couple thousand views at most(which was the best era of youtube, where the site actually lived up to its namesake instead of being an over-regulated vector for advertisements.)

There were big lets play people before him, especially after Minecraft in 2010 but yeah he really stepped it up recording his reactions to everything. Even the big channels didn't put that much effort besides commentating. He also seemed a lot more creative and down to earth compared to the others.
