I don't press start in games.

it's one of the best fe romhacks I've played , it has mechanics I've never seen in a fire emblem romhack like getting items and skills from supports and actual music made specifically for the romhack itself instead of being taken out of an fe music database and it sounds really damn good , only thing I don't really like about it is the large quantity of fog of war maps , how bad the chapter 1 dialogue was and that one fucking skeleton , but other than that it's probably one of the best romhacks of gba fe.
There's a remaster of this game being made and if they cut out some of the meme shit in the early chapters and polish the story I can see it being the best romhack in fire emblem

What's the point of the dawncaller choice if getting dawncaller makes the game 4 times easier and you get a top tier unit because of it?

It's pretty damn good. A bit too reinforcement heavy in some chapters but I guess this is a lunatic issue mostly.

Optional challenge mode? You're right that you lose the best unit + a busted weapon but it's not like the baldie is that much worse. He'll wreck havoc in any terror map especially the one that gives galeforce to the harrier witch.

It was supposed to change what units you can get but it only affected you getting one (1) unit and he fucking sucks ass. Supposedly the definitive edition is coming out soon where you can choose Dawncaller, Bulwork or neither and apparently it changes what units you get. I think they even released a video about some of the changes on jewtube.

Zak gives you the get out of jail free staff that you can use once per chapter. It's not as flashy as dawncaller but it can be useful in the big maps if you fuck up your position.

Zak is a better unit than Dawn and having him early makes some of the hardest chapters in the game a lot easier than not having him.

I can't argue with that , dawn is the only character in this game other than the shitty skeleton that actively feels like they detract from the scene every time they open their mouths , dawn literally feels like an OC and the skeleton is chapter 1 dialogue personified , hoping that those two will get overhauled or toned down because god damn

Is helga like the best character in the game? I don't think there was one moment in-game where galeforce didn't save my ass , helga and tendaris might as well have been lords that trigger a game over when they die , that's how game changing these units are

Honestly that staff saved my ass more times than I’d like to admit. Dawncaller’s flashy but kind of overkill for most of the game unless you’re going full ironman or doing some masochist lunatic run. Zak’s utility just straight-up makes the maps less of a resetfest. If they tune Dawn down a little and maybe spread his power over time instead of frontloading it, the choice would actually feel meaningful instead of “free win vs balance.”

I liked Andaron Saga but it seemed like the main villain's motivation was kind of bad? Was there anything he wanted to do that Baudimon, as king, wouldn't have been okay with? He's just trying to stop the demons, right? I know that Mort also wanted credit for saving the world or whatever but it seems unbelievable that killing his brother and shredding his soul would be worth that.

The idea is that Mort was a narcissist who wanted to go down the history books as the savior of the continent, that's why he needed to be the one in charge when whatever crisis he thought happened. But yes, the reasoning is flimsy so I hope they improve on it in the definition edition.

Yeah. If they don't want to change it too much, I might be satisfied if they just add something earlier in the story to foreshadow and help explain why he would have such an obsession. Maybe with a flashback.
