cuz I'm not having fun playing dix i used to have some background noise (Super Best Friendcast or some audiobook) while practising 4 then head into matches but i cant do it with dix. I'm just not having as much fun with it slime rush sucks idk what in the fuck crapcom is thinking by STILL allowing the pause during slime eat your inputs, its one of the worst feeling ever.

Made it to Master with Bison last week, first Master character. Feel fraudulent but at least I'm not losestreaking down to 1300 MR, am keeping it floating in the 1400s. I just can't cope with my bad reactions and how my decisionmaking goes out the window when I get frustrated.

Doesn't exist if you don't know the full moveset by now it means you suck ass and most people can easily beat you. needing to win especially against someone of your own species is a biological aspect of nature and humans.

There are so many solutions to these problems but everyone wants to frame them in a way that makes things worse and then throw their hands up as if nothing can be done.
Increase the recovery window on whiffed tap parry, make parrying on wakeup remove whatever sort of throwloop protection gets put in place, increase the throwtech window. If they dedicated time for a balance team to figure this shit out I'm sure they would, they just don't care because they want this game to be as frustrating as possible.

No need to do anything like that, the solution to throwloops is just to make the player performing the throw recover at a range where they can't walk close enough to meaty throw in time and have to take either a meaty normal from further out or walk up and throw late while risking getting hit by immediate wakeup jab. You only need to delay the grab long enough to allow wakeup jab to win, so if they wakeup parry it's trivial to throw on reaction

Because the only reason to dedicate tons of time to them is to play competitively. At a certain point you realize it's all pointless. I occasionally play them with friends, but it makes me feel bad because none of my friends can play the game at a even half-decent level and I always steamroll them.

I agree that that is the most logical solution, but Drive Rush complicates things. If they got pushed so far out that every throw loop requires a Drive Rush>Throw that would be better than what we have now and I could live with it, but if we want to remove them entirely without using some sort of throw protection that would mean pushing characters so far out that they'd practically lose all oki pressure without using Drive Rush.

Nah what you do is leave them closer but increase the recovery time on throw so they don't have time to DR into meaty grab. Since DR grab is what, 11+5? You can leave people close enough to walk 5 frames and press a normal, or walk 8 frames and try a late throw, but DR would then be too slow so you take DR out of the equation by giving people less time

That game's characters are ugly, and that game's backgrounds are ugly. It has nothing good. It's an ugly game because all the talented SNK devs left a long time ago to work at Capcom and Arksys -- which is why Mai got a lot more love and care as a guest character in SF6, than she did in her own fucking franchise where you can't even use her original outfit.
