I played Bloodborne on a base PS4 and it ran at 30fps with occasional frame drops, but I never heard anyone really complain about it back when the game just came out. I didn’t play Elden Ring on PS4 but I’m sure it’s more or less the same. Times change, people’s standards change I guess. There’s no way to satisfy everyone unless everything runs at 120fps.

It's handle by the game engine. Final rendering output needs to determine what colour space and colour range to employ before sending it off to the display. Colours in games have primarily been calculated in the HDR range since HL2 Episode 2. Regular ass displays need extra math to clamp it all down to the SDR range to prevent everything looking blown out.

Cyberpunk on Switch 2 has settings that are below the minimum you can set on PC. Even so, the developers had to lower the native resolution to such a low level that no one would consider using it on PC, even with DLSS. And even then, you'll get frame rates in the 20s in certain parts.
So yeah, the Switch 2 can run Cyberpunk, but it's not really playable if you have standards.

Got my GFs computer a RX7600, 5600G, and 32GB DDR4 ram. Shit runs everything I throw at it at 1080p with no issues. Her 32inch 100hz monitor does fine with the card as 100fps is standard on most games for it. Never had to take really anything below high settings.

No it didn't. I have a 3090 Kingpin and it ran like shit at launch. I could crank the graphics to max and maintain a high framerate but it would hitch/drop frames randomly because Nips don't know how to precompile and cache shaders. Luckily valve does.
