The big 3 see games in very different ways. Depending on how you see games is how you see the company and pick your favorite.

Games are toys. Good game is fun, bad game is not fun. Mario Odyssey is fun so its good Star Fox Zero is not fun so it isn't good.

Games are art/entertainment. Good game is engaging, bad game is not engaging. Last of Us has an engaging story so it is good. Despite Last of Us 2 having better gameplay the story is worse so people hate it.

Halo 3 has every feature you could want co-op, single player, multiple pvp modes, forge, etc. Halo 5 sucks it didn't even launch with big team battle wtf!

You show a sony game to a nintendo fan they reject it. Not because they are a blind fanboy it is because their priorities are different. That is why people though Helldivers 2 should be on xbox, Senua's Sacrifice should be on playstation, and Gravity Rush should be on nintendo. They fit better.

I'll even go one step further and add that this is just the way the modern internet is too. Even on more mainstream sites there's thinly-veiled bait and even the normal conversations are repeated verbatim. Sure, they change topics, but the content is virtually the same. Even the genuine engagement becomes slop over time. It's the same shit everywhere. Even stupid questions like "how's the weather?" in real life feel absolutely quaint compared to the stagnation on the internet, because even when it's repetitive in nature, at least the real life bog-standard has more context to pay attention to, and has more relevant information.
It's just constant digging for something novel and there's nothing new whether you're deliberately looking for it or just shitposting and trying to scrounge something up in the information-overflowing schizo-mania.
I don't even post on this hellhole more than once or twice, if that, because the (You)s mean nothing. It's like chasing those rare drops in MMORPGs where you're just sifting through thousands of dead monster corpses something valuable for even just a shred of dopamine.
It's all just grindy boring shit and I'm better off looking once every several months because someone will inevitably recap missed information that I will ingest within seconds and I can move on. And that won't even matter, because the information will be something like "nintendo lawyers disappeared youtuber's balls" or something equally trite.
