The most shocking revelation in the game is that it's been only six years since she left.

The most important revelation is that she already left him once, and then came back begging Harry to take her back in. This explains why he is so deluded about getting her back - because it happened once before.

The revelation that makes Dora a complete monster is that she killed Harry's child.

I know but after 2 runs I don't care anymore. Also it's kind of a disappointment because really it's not a detective game, there are no mysteries that actually require problem solving versus just skill checks and the ending is retarded. There's no chance you could ever figured out it was some random ass guy and even if you did you couldn't do anything about it until the appropriate time. "Mystery" is fake news. Still liked it though.

if you go purple/red (the best way to play the game) Harry has such bad alcohol-induced amnesia and is so retarded he is incapable of remembering anything about his life or the place that he lives, you have to piece it together with clues or get one of the characters to literally explain reality to you, I assume you just didn't give yourself any nerd (blue) skills through either run

The pale is basically a spreading void across the whole planet, there is one relevant place in the whole game where the pale is actually spreading in revachol and will erase everything

For a first run, I'd recommend 2 / 4 / 4 / 2 (more entertaining) or 4 / 4 / 2 / 2 (more effective).

Intellect is needed to actually solve the case, but low intellect has a lot of exclusive content (starting with Raphael Ambrosius Costeau), and high intellect doesn't actually help you with too much besides some Art Cop XP.
Psyche contains a lot of missable things, you want your first run to be a psyche run, even if you start with low psyche you always end up looking your ways to put more points into Inland Empire and Volition.
Physique has Shivers, which you will always put points into, and there are a few mandatory physique checks that are pretty hard. It is also by far the funniest main stat.
Motorics is the least important stat, but the most important red check in the game is Hands-Eye Coordination.

Having any stat at 1 limits your ability to reroll checks, having a stat at 4 lets you hit ~10 with investment and some clothes, which is enough for just about every passive check sans the most esoteric ones.

Don't worry about that. The thing about love is that you can't force it or think "yeah I'd love that person" or some other shit. Love is going to find you. Love is the closest thing to a paranormal experience to most and I like the explanation of love from some old Russian guy who argued that it's basically divinity opening itself to a person in the form of another person, and the completion of such love is the completion of heaven within a person, achieving the purest form of love from God to (woe-)Man.
One of his biggest arguments, however, was that love is *not* a good thing in itself, nor will it lead to inherently good things. In the Bible, several people had to throw love away to achieve actual results, Romeo and Juliet doesn't end well, and the result of most true loves is either tragic or one-sided, leading nowhere. Still, you gotta persist, because what else is there?
I was like you 'till like 22, 23? This was all alien to me. Some guy asks me to help him carry things to another place because he had a breakup with some girl that led him to a half-a-year-long heavy depressive episode and I didn't really understand what kinda shit you have to fall through to end up like this. I used to laugh at people who get really sad while talking about their past experiences: like, come on, it's not *that* bad.
Then I go home and see some lady I was acquainted with for a year already chatting with another guy, and I feel my brain just burning inside, yelling "look away, idiot, it's not your concern!" from one side and "why isn't it you?" from the other side. I come home and it *hits* me. Another three days are in pain, then it subsides, then it comes again, then it subsides, "you should really call her now, dude" and "why the *fuck* did you do that?" see-sawing. It's subsided again. We're no longer acquaintances but good acquaintances now. It's unlikely that it'll ever materialise but she's so good I'd invite her to drink some coffee even if I hated her.

A fascist Harry can arguably be the strongest path for redemption if he utilises the "will" found within it's doctrine against his addictions. The great enemy is alcohol (I don't care for how the Haitian pronounces it) and even if he misunderstands the ideology due to his own personal tragedy, he can wield it like a new girlfriend against his past. His body starting to recover from the abuse alongside a new sense of aesthetic with the trimming/shaving of the moustache will do wonders for him. Even though it will be a struggle to not fall into the same pitfalls as before, a relationship with Lilienne could give him just what he needs to start taking an active measure of hope for the future.

If you don't like it that's fine, but you said it was all just bitter, which is not the case. Don't need to get the fancy schmancy teas, just some loose leaf teas from Japan, China, or redeem some Indian tea, sirs. A mistake many people make is that they use water that's not the right temperature or leave the leaves in for too long. That will absolutely turn most teas quite bitter. But if you can't be bothered with all that, I understand as well. Just saying that bitter is definitely not the only flavor profile you can have with tea.

A 4chan videogame thread is not really a good place for counselling someone but I urge you to have a really serious think about whether you want your life to be better or whether you are secretly comfortable with your life the way it is. You are a human being and even the most broken amongst us are incredibly powerful beings in nature, capable of shaping reality around ourselves through our conscious choices.

Because romantic relationships tend to clip your wings if you're the type that overthinks, analyzes, and builds internal empires. When you're smart, you spend a lot of time tinkering with patterns-ideas, systems, behavior loops-and love throws in variables that don't follow logic or structure. One minute you're contemplating the human condition at 3AM, the next you're pacifying someone over a text because you didn't say "goodnight" with enough serotonin. Relationships demand your emotional CPU bandwidth 24/7, and if it's not wired optimally, it starts lagging everything else. You end up spending more time managing emotions than creating or exploring.

NTA but there have been a couple of women in my life that Iโ€™ve had an impossibly difficult time getting over. I went really batshit insane after the first one. Had some severe episodes of drunkenness later on and some of them involved doing very disturbing things like that. Getting off on the thought of making people frightened and feeling as awful as I do had a kind of twisted schadenfreude when youโ€™re at the malicious level of drunken misery.

This

I've never been a drinker really, but in my 30's feeling sad, unfulfilled and bored I started drinking alone, really developing a taste for beer. Then it became a crutch for stress, immediately drinking until I passed out every night before I went to work. Putting away 20-30 cans a week, you see your health and mental state very quickly deteriorate

I went 6 months this year without a drink, then I got stressed over work and fell back into it. I fucking love that first sip of a beautiful soft Helles lager. Then I hate it and myself and feel despair. 2 days sober atm, its easy desu, but its so much easier to drink and forget everything when you have nothing worth being sober for

I guess I am a lucky one. I see people post this shit, that it never goes away and all that, but I am divorced from a woman who left me after a 12 year relationship and I just couldn't care less about her one way or the other at this point. I was a fucking full on trainwreck when it happened, losing my mind, deeply depressed, fucking ready to do anything to get the bitch back. But after, like, I dunno, maybe half a year, I just snapped out of it. Maybe deciding on a direction and not feeling lost anymore fixed it, because by a year afterwards my life was significantly better off than it was with her and, now a few more years on, I just look back on it like "thank God I am out of that shit." Maybe I wasn't in love with her in the same obsessive way as some people are, and was just VERY attached? I dunno. Or maybe people just process these things differently.
