I sometimes front the debut but other than that I usually stick to whatever the horse is good at (sometimes switching to a secondary style if the primary has 10+ racers already).
Boxing isn't the only thing that randomly kills you in career, sometimes it's late start into a long rushed. Just believe in your horse.

Anyway, green skills are mostly good when building for specific CMs so you can know they're going to activate.
Both curvature and maestro are good because they have significant effect and they proc on basically every race, at every distance, for every runner.

An S in track and distance only gives a 5% stat boost in speed and power, all it does is give it effectively 1208 speed and 756 power. The right one wipes the floor with it stat-wise, and that straightway recovery is also nice to have. I'd use the right one every day of the week.

yeah its weird because that run i experimented taking Aoi buddy - didn't build her bond at all early and only used a single date event at the end.
didn't even feel that lucky of a run, except i slammed a couple 46% failure chance triple rainbows on Speed to catch up.

Correction: whils't an S gives a 5% performance boost, it translates into as if you had 10.25% more speed and power, bringing it up to 1268 speed and 794 power, so you have quite a bit more speed but less power than the right one. I'd still go with the right one anways as stamina is more important than speed even in a medium race so that extra stamina skill makes it better in my eyes.
