MH4U don't need the touch screen while hunting which is what you do 90% of the time, the only time when you want to look at the bottom screen is when doing some menu stuff like selecting a specific food buff or selecting a quest, you can switch screens with a key press.

Eventually, you will start using your muscle memory to select the food you want with a movement command without ever looking at the bottom screen, upscale x4 or higher for the game to not look so awful.

Out of those three, Rise has the best maps. Now keep in mind I'm not saying they're all good because Lava Caverns sucks and Frost Islands is bland as hell, but they still carry the same design philosophy as all the other maps in that game. You can get places quick even without a dog and the player being able to wall run on almost any surface helps in that regard. Hell even with how fast the player's movement is across the maps they never feel small, just big enough to make going from one point to another not be arduous and an exercise in boredom. Compare that to World and Wilds where even with a mount you feel sluggish and most of the time there's nothing to do but sit and wait, on top of having limited interacting with the environment unlike Rise. A flying raptor with no jump button, can only climb select surfaces, and sometimes the game won't even let it jump off ledges it's meant to. Wilds already went on sale and if we extrapolate the current sales it would take 5 years to sell another 10mio copies at which point the game would not even surpass Rise.
If this was true and the dlc doesn't change that, then Wilds would be a huge blunder.
