the movement is smooth, and all of the movement options tie together really well to make platforming challenges that have a higher skill ceiling compared to other metroidvanias
the charm system is a fairly balanced way to make sure there are a lot of builds variety without having one dominant one be too strong, and it prevents players from just equipping every charm and being unstoppable
the music is relazing and somber whilst exploring the desolate world, which makes exploration feel very calming despite the enemies
the visuals are simplistic, but also very clean and stylised to give it a unique identity that can be picked out from screenshots compared to a lot of other metroidvanias that rely on pixels (Dead Cells, Blasphemous, etc) or using 3D models in a 2D perspective (Bloodstained, the recent sidescroller Prince of Persia, etc)
the lore cribs a bit too much on Dark Souls style mystery for my liking, but the characters are enjoyably written and affable

I could probably say more, but I think that's enough to justify why I like it
