Not a coder, translator. AI translations are pretty good if given proper context, a strict termbase and people that actually give a shit about reviewing it. I use AI as well and I'd be lying if I said it hasn't been very useful. The problems are:

I read through the Chinese reviews, and beyond just translation issues I saw plenty of concrete proof that the game is actually really bad. Even the die-hard Hollow Knight fans all agreed it hasn’t improved enough and said they couldn’t recommend it to anyone who isn’t already a fan. I don't picture translating as a job to die out: I picture more that the number of translators going down.
