Phase 1: Do not use any tools. Deal with these easy attacks and heal if necessary, Reaper will let you farm easy silk to refill. You may choose to spam your favorite silk move here if you want, but I played it safe.

Get out of the rings of fire, heal if necessary, and inject your first plasmium. Now with the fractured mask, you can stand 5 hits! Spam tacks all over the middle of the room, 2-3 times. This will deal tons of passive damage while you dodge around. Keep fighting, getting damage while you can. Any time you are idle in fire rings, use it to reset tacks, plasmium, or heal.

After the fire wheel, continue above, he doesn't have much health left. Go to the far side of the room after he's dead to avoid explosion.

The only time this really got to me was in Bilewater, I was basically forced to do the mist because I went there without any double jump and I didn't have enough rosaries for the tram and the bench, just one, and fucking nothing down there drops rosaries
I found out later that you can RNG the room between the tram and the mist until you get enemy spawns that will let you pogo out of there but ultimately what I did was make the run to Phantom, farm rosaries in the Coral Chambers a little bit until I could pay for everything in the tram room and then went all the way back to Bilewater's tram with another 120 rosaries
and I thought the Sinner's Road bench was diabolical

Finally killed this stupid bitch yesterday, thank god. She's actually fun in a vacuum since she lacks bullshit enemy spawns, has a clear and concise moveset you can react to with enough practice, and is the one boss I've fought so far who I feel deserves to do two masks of damage with each hit, but the aids-tier runback every time you die and that stupid fucking death explosion that exists solely to pull the rug out from under your feet when you kill her the first time really soured any enjoyment I could have gotten from fighting her. Sadly I know that Act 2 is fairly meaty and that there's an Act 3 beyond that, so things are only going to get worse from here.

you can bounce on the dart throwing enemies if they spawn below you and just push away the other ones who like to land on you. and the boss you just swap to the other side if he gets too close, besides that you just bounce on him
by staying there you also completely avoid the swinging spike trap

as a shitter who doesn't really play platformer / metroidvania games:
Elden Ring was my first dark souls game and I got to magrit at like level 7 with barely any idea how to control my character. It took me over 30 attempts to win because I never even considered going into weeping peninsula and getting some levels / better gear / more familiarity with the game

this game is like underleveled, undergeared magrit except it's every second boss, and I can't get more power out of items / levels

Personally I'm fine with runbacks where you die while exploring since it's not an area you're locked into after starting, you chose to keep exploring and died due to a mistake. At a boss though there should be a bench relatively close by to allow for quick retries, some of the runbacks are ridiculous in this game. If you're at low hp, an easy trick to get back to full is to find an enemy near a room entrance, tap it once or twice and then run back to reset the room. Repeat until you're healed.

Just finished with Widow. Am I the only one who really just doesn't bother with tools? I also have no good charms or whatever they call them now. I've just stuck with the rosary magnet one for ages now.
