And anyway, the Eldar don't hold all property in common, the Path System is basically what you're doing to keep your soul from being devoured while being able to make a living. Eldar might not transact in the way that humans do in the modern era, and in fact their system is remarkably primitive. From what sources I've seen Eldar society works on a kind of running tally of favors. Economically this would be understood as being most similar to a pre-writing village where people work most things out on a combination of credit and barter. So a carpenter might build someone a house but then that person gives them 3 newborn calf and helps them harvest wheat in the fall.

But really mapping the Eldar into any kind of economic system is a fool's errand because their civilization already automated everything. They have to consciously make an effort to work because the alternative is hedonism and having your soul devoured. You can't map that incentive structure to any modern understanding of economics.

Farsight Enclaves, basically the only unironic morally good faction in 40K, though they're so weak it basically doesn't matter. It's the Iron Harvest devs. I played that, it had some troubles with unit pathing and wonky controls with regards to their cover system.
