See I'm not so sure even that is true. You ever here the term "more money, more problems". It exists for a reason. Once your basic needs are met, you have diminishing returns for money and actual happiness. Yes you can buy some "toys" as they're referred to by rich people, cars yachts whatever. But to actually have happiness in this life, or to be content with your situation, it doesn't really require any money at all. Same thing goes for "love". It's free, you know what I mean? So you can stretch a little bit of money and a few possessions to go a long way, but even that isn't really necessary to have inner peace as the monks will tell you. If anything they consider being possessive of material objects holding you back from true contentedness, and they may be on to something. The rat race of consumerism, materialism, we are constantly chasing the next high. Consume consume consume. Right now, what we're doing now, the video games we play. It's mostly escapism and consumerism. What are we escaping from? The materialistic hellhole that society has created for itself to sustain itself in perpetuity. This system has winners and losers, with an increasing amount of losers and a very small amount of actual winners.

But even for those people at the top. Many of them are sociopaths incapable of real happiness. Many of them have had to trample upon others to get to where they are, to cheat lie and steal, sometimes kill.

Leonardo Di Caprio I imagine had to do a lot of dirty deeds to even land the roles he did as a pretty boy in hollywood. You know what I'm saying?
