There's probably a connection between Demise and Null. Remember the whole backstory from Skyward Sword? Demise and his armies emerged from deep underground, and they hated the Goddesses and their creations for unspecified reasons. But what's been beneath Hyrule all along? Null, who likewise hates the Goddesses and their creations. So it's likely that Null created Demise to destroy the world on its behalf, which means that Null is indirectly responsible for Ganon(dorf) too.

Well I don't associate with her nowadays. She was part of the friend group, and for various reasons she's been ousted since then. The kind of person where it's easier to just fake agreeing with them than even entertaining a debate, so you can imagine why. But all that aside, I have fond recollections of playing TP. Zelda never needed to be this complicated. All it ever had to be was a random green guy (embodiment of man's capacity for good) fighting some super conceited shithead (embodiment of man's capacity for evil) duking it out over the power of the gods. And even if evil manages to get its hands on the power of the gods, the Master Sword's original purpose was to shut that evil person down anyways. It's a simple setup, it really was.
Now here we are, with Demon Kings and an extremely clingy (demi)goddess who does horrible things but never answers for them outside of self-pitying until the plot forgets what she did, all of which is on a mandate from karma itself to reoccur perpetually over the course of tens of thousands of years.

oh for sure she's definitely an outlier in the series (and Nintendo in general). They games obviously tend to focus on exploration and dungeons and eschew character development. I think it mostly has to do with pacing; character development adds a lot to the downtime to add cutscenes, dialogue, etc and in a Zelda game would kind of bog down the game. Twilight Princess and Majoras Mask both have more character development than most Zelda games, but MM has the advantage of the 3 day loop and a lot of the character moments as sidequests. TP however tries to also focus more on characters in a more traditional Zelda formula and the game tends to really drag at points, especially the infamous intro. Minda I think is the exception, and her development throughout the game is probably the best thing about TP.
