I would say 1 is better in the sense that it didn't need two games to present a cast, get you attached to the characters, have SoL moments and a proper serious story with its conclusion. MoT however has a better narrative with the war and great moments of catharsis. Both still fail at delivering a good final arc, though.

The Woshis arc is mostly a problem of pacing imo, the highs are crazy good but the in-between sections are badly paced and there's a lot of jumping around with no downtime to give the characters to properly react to the state of affairs. The true final boss is phenomenal though and a perfect conclusion to the story

He's now the wandering god Utawarerumono/Uitsalnemeteia/Hakuowlo, taking the original characters place. As such he's probably between states where he can't directly stay in the world, in the same place where Hakuowlo was kept up that we see in the game.

He's essentially more of a strong godlike entity now, and so he doesn't want to affect the world too much with his strength. But since the entity of Utwarerumono is still an ever force within the world, Kuon's journey changes from her rampant bout of teen angst and explorer nature to finding her love, because he's still out there.

In a scene at the credits of the game Hakuowlo leaves where he was sealed because Haku took all the power out of him and let him live his life again, with Eruru leading him out the crypt. I would've like to see how all his comrades and lovers react upon seeing him again.

There's some content in the gacha, Lost Flag, but I can't say what happens there myself as it's all multiversal. It does seem like Aquaplus wants to do more with the world, which is what MM is for so maybe they'll see each other again in the future.

The gameplay is very basic bitch dragon quest shit. The main party is young Oshtor, Mikazuchi, and Munechika, + a new girl. If you're a fan you'll probably enjoy it, but I would recommend buying it on sale. It felt fine. It simplified some character arcs, like the Ulthury and the other characters, and all round removed the explicit adult content. But there's also the OVA which adapted some of the stories they didn't put in the show, like the previous stated Ulthury child side plot.

I felt the anime was fairly faithful, just a generally more anime plotline, by reducing some of the time spent talking with people and introducing side characters that become obsolete, such as the rest of the villagers outside of Teoro and Sopoko. It was also animated nicely, keeping the action scenes lively and smooth, without creating sakuga madness.

There's also the idea that it's just not that important, as maybe there have been cases of their people having slight defects or shorter ears and lack of tails over the years. Uta 1 vs Uta 2/3 is a little hard for me. I think Uta 1 gets a little sloppy and has much less focus but it's also slower and the slice of moments are comfy too. I really like the cast of 1 more than 2 and they're much closer knit as a family. I think the biggest problem with 1 is as I said the plot is a little sloppy where mostly anything to do with good vs evil god and the whole history of Tuskur (both the person and the land) is fucking confusing as all hell. It doesn't give you much in the story but when you get into gacha territory it's actually fucking retarded.

I understand this but going to war with Tuskur (again) could've very easily devolved into some awful forced drama so it didn't bother me much that it was resolved early, the scene where it is resolved is one of the best scenes in the story anyways.

Kuon's great, she's a bit of a nag early on in MoD but she has top tier chemistry and is Haku's biggest supporter in Truth. I really respected that she doesn't spill the beans or tries to pester him on his true identity because she knows what's at stake

It helps both show her the truth, develop her empress side AND helps her reconcile with the truth, as well as helps develop Anju.
