Good. I've had enough of this trend of making a comeback entry only to focus on some new character no one asked for instead of the main MC. With this being one of the shittiest examples ever since Ryu is basically base NG3 tier with only one weapon until that jewshit dlc next year and gets way less levels than the new guy. Umihara Kawase is a physics based platformer with time trials, nothing "puzzle" about it. It's an action game. Any game where the chief form of gameplay is testing the player's motor control is action, and it's a lot harder than any ninja gaiden game, and a lot more replayable too.

Anyways, the only thing I don't like about this game so far is the fact we are told there will be day one DLC. Modern DLC practices in general disgust me and I hate that it now plagues every single game release. All games are tainted with these things now. I also kind of don't like spending 70 on a game, but who cares about that?
It manages to be one of few modern games I've been remotely poised to get, but I don't know if I even really care.

I will not be purchasing this game. I am a long time Ninja Gaiden fan, and everything that has been presented so far has been sub par. This is a Platinum game, and does not fit into the NG formula. Limited weapons, stage and enemy variety, form switching garbage instead of concise and tight combatant moves. This is not Ninja Gaiden.

No amount of shilling will convince me otherwise.

There was no reason for me to logically think that would happen but for some strange reason I kept repeating the exact thought in my head over and over, just some weird thing I do, and then I watched it play out before me. Really hope that happens. Additional counters would be nice too. DoA3 on xbox only had a 3 way hold system, the inputs for kick and punch holds being the same, which made it a bit easier. Generally they have 4 way hold systems, with different hold inputs only for mid holds. It would make inputs a little more important if they added more. I think there were a couple of different releases of 3 that had some attack differences and sidestepping, but I may be mistaken.
