But I played a lot of kartrider and counter drifting was very common there
feel more at home using it and find it more chill to play than tech drifting from level 4 to level 4

The biggest issue that I see with Sonic 4 is going to be Amy and how they handle her. It is very clear with her end credits that at that time they are writing Girl boss, more powerful than Knuckles, Leader, character that the boys need to keep up with. If you're doing a drift spam build then I'd say crossworlds can feel a bit similar to CTR in some ways. I'd probably say Crossworlds is closer to CTR than Mario Kart is.
That being said, if you hate Sonic then I can't recommend it. This is very much a game for Sonic fans.

Also, CTR has a much better single player campaign.

I think it's nice that you can tell who knows how to boost properly at the starting line apart from the dweebs that slam the gas early and tippy tap it for over a second because they started too early.
