This is primarily a skill level (strongly correlated with IQ) problem. Generally, in pvp multiplayer games, the more people talk, the lower the rank is. High skill and rank players will have enough insight to know what is going on around them and therefore will not waste time talking, communication comes mainly from the game's ping system, asking short questions, to which the only answers can be yes or no and talking shit calling you a retard if you're an account buyer. If you start typing and bitching and blaming rather than adapting you will have outed yourself as a shitter immediately.
If what you're talking about are primarily social games like mmos and the like and not cowadoodee gunman, then you have a point.

You can always find things that you could improve on. Sure, if your aim was a little better and if you had hit that shot then the match could have ended differently too. The difference, however, is that you can't easily fix that. Not using your mic is a very intentional decision and it would take no effort to press your PTT bind. You're dragging your teammates down because you're too scared to talk. It's no different from randomly going AFK.

Happy that the devs who designed TF2 had the idea of gameplay being more tied to not needing a mic when doing game design and designing the mechanics of the mercs. The only game I can just disable voice chat and play and when I see a spy just put it into text chat.

The only online multiplayer game I got heavy into was Splatoon specifically because it didn't have voice comms beyond "BOOYAH" and "THIS WAY"

Had to stop playing 3 because every opponent seemed to be highly coordinated due to speaking over discord
People did this with 1 and 2 as well when playing with friends, but in those games you get placed onto randomized teams.

I played that proximity chat mode in Fortnite when it first launched, did some G-rated micspam where I played as Goku and played "Hey it's me, Goku!" to people repeatedly, got some laughs out of reactions and people banding together to kill me. Then I got a week-long suspension from all social features in the game. When articles started getting published touting that thousands of players got banned for longer periods of time than my automatic one the community cheered about removing hateful people from the game. There is no benefit to speaking in public matches in modern video games and large risks.

The only games where I talk on mic are Valve games, where even in Deadlock you can say whatever you want and not have to worry about getting reported

In the very same book, he wrote that while friendship, companionship or at least compromise between the two types might be possible on a smaller scale, the differences couldn't and never will be reconcilable on a large scale. It requires way too big of a mental effort for one type to reach its opposite, and most people simply aren't willing nor have the required openness.

To answer your question more directly though, extraverts fall into introverted behaviors(without their type actually changing, this is important) when they are going through some shit or a lack of something, so they identify said behaviors as a negative sign.
Whenever they are introverting for a while, they deal with all those thoughts and feelings they hadn't properly made conscious yet, hence appear to be uncontrollable, come out of nowhere, and it might feel like going insane, that's why they tell you they literally lose their minds when they are alone. Given this experience and reinforcement through talking to other extraverts sharing similar anecdotes, they easily become convinced this applies to literally everyone and they cannot imagine an introverted type actually exists, in the sense of somebody who instead finds comfort in their own inner mind, while treating the outside world as the disturbance instead.
That's just one aspect though, there's also the fact that since interacting with the outside is their default approach to life, they automatically read withdrawing as rejection as opposed to a neutral state for the other type.
