Kiwami 5 2035? I don’t see how Sega can do it. The game has too much shit.

It can be done; however, likely be the main game the entire team would work on and delay any upcoming projects

Most of the completion of this game is just restaurants. In Dragon Engine 2.0 in 2030 it won't be a big deal. It will be easy after the Judgment remake.

they'll half of it and make the rest out of reused animations

I could very much see Kiwami 5 just being a UE5 wrapper running off the original code like several remakes this year have done. Outsource upscaled assets to jeets, a bit of programming work on the side. They don't even need to redo the localisation because they already did it for the 3-4-5 Remaster project. Knock it together in a couple months tops, spend a week cutting out any skin being shown in Haruka's segment, sell it for full price, shareholders are happy, job done. That said, now that Kiwami 2 and 3 have set a precedent for including a gaiden story alongside the original game, I wouldn't mind seeing a Watase story. I remember some fake rumours flying around a few years ago about a "Like an Asura" spinoff featuring him (iirc, using his leaked Y7 render as "evidence"), and the potential of it never really left my mind.

>beat yakuza 1 on ps2 on release
>never played 2 on ps2
>fast forward years
>see demo for yakuza 3 on ps3
>enjoy it
>buy it and beat it with no clue about previous characters because I couldn’t remember anything about the story from the first game
>played yakuza 4 on release half way through (became a wagie) and dropped it
>never played yakuza 5
>never played yakuza 6
>pick up and beat 0 on release thinking I could finally get a fresh start on the series again
>lose track again and end up playing and beating 7 because i thought it would be another fresh start
>fucking Kazuma comes back
>want to play infinite wealth but it has even more kazuma so I would need to power through multiple games to get caught up

I’m not going to ever complete these games am I /v/?

I have a physical copy of this game and never played it. Shit is going for $100 and I’m never going to sell it.

I've only played Judgment and I really liked it but I have absolutely no clue where to even START with the actual Yakuza series.

Thank you for the blog about your life story.

Sarcasm aside, maybe you're just not cut out for the series. I'm not saying that to be an asshole, I'm giving you genuine advice here. A large part of the appeal of the games is seeing the story and Kamurocho itself evolve over the years, and if you don't have the attention span to play all the games then you will seriously be better off spending your time elsewhere. If you're absolutely determined to play these games, then replay 0 (paying attention this time), then move on to Kiwami 1/2, then 3/4/5/6 and finally move onto 8 if you still remember what happened in 7. This series demands a massive time and attention commitment, and if you don't want that (which is very understandable, honestly having played them all I don't think the juice was worth the squeeze) then play something else. Again, I'm not being elitist, I'm saying these games are not for everyone, and you sound like you're included in that 'everyone'. There are other series that are more deserving of the hundreds of hours of playtime it would take you to catch up on Yakuza.

>yakuza 1 ps2
>yakuza 2 ps2
>yakuza 3 (remaster version)
>yakuza 4 (remaster version)
>yakuza 5 (remaster version)
>yakuza 0
>yakuza 6
>like a dragon
>like a dragon gaiden
>like a dragon infinite wealth

After that If you want you can play the remakes of the first and second games (Kiwami 1 &2) but the originals should be played first no matter what.

with any luck, kiwami 3 will flop hard (it should considering all the shit they have cut so far) and they'll stop making these pointless remakes.

1&2 were nowhere near what I saw from 8. You’re smoking if you think that’s the case. it’s like going from sr 1&2 to 4.

Here's your 20th anniversary project bro.

>You can have a virtual wedding with a "Yakuza" character. There is also a special package that allows you to hold a wedding ceremony for 150,000 yen.
>You will be dressed up by professional hair and makeup artists in a special private room, and a professional photographer will take pictures of you in a wedding dress or tuxedo. You can invite up to 10 friends to your wedding.
>This is the first large-scale exhibition in the series to be held to mark the 20th anniversary.

Too much shit indeed, they have to cut like 80% of the game so it becomes salvageable.

I like kiwami 2 but kiwami 3 looks too fucking bright and they cut out voiced lines and replaced them with textboxes, what a downgrade
