Sarcasm aside, maybe you're just not cut out for the series. I'm not saying that to be an asshole, I'm giving you genuine advice here. A large part of the appeal of the games is seeing the story and Kamurocho itself evolve over the years, and if you don't have the attention span to play all the games then you will seriously be better off spending your time elsewhere. If you're absolutely determined to play these games, then replay 0 (paying attention this time), then move on to Kiwami 1/2, then 3/4/5/6 and finally move onto 8 if you still remember what happened in 7. This series demands a massive time and attention commitment, and if you don't want that (which is very understandable, honestly having played them all I don't think the juice was worth the squeeze) then play something else. Again, I'm not being elitist, I'm saying these games are not for everyone, and you sound like you're included in that 'everyone'. There are other series that are more deserving of the hundreds of hours of playtime it would take you to catch up on Yakuza.
